I always play poker with shivering. how can I break this?
There could be many reasons for your symptoms, maybe you are playing to many tables or to high limit compared to your skill set?
I tend to shiver the first few mins, when I'm in a rush to get some volume in, but it usually wears off.
I remember playing for real money for the first time on 4NL. I can tell you my heart was beating like a drum! It took a while for me to get used to it, and I recommend that you play for the smallest of stakes until you feel comfortable playing for real money.

I agree with the other posters who suggested relaxation and meditation.
In addition I offer the following suggestions:
♦ Be comfortable
♦ Be confident -- in other words, know why you make a play, know that it is the proper play in the situation, and recognize that sometimes you'll get beat -- so what?
♦ Play with proper BRM. If you have enough money that you can lose a few stacks with no problem, then the fear factor isn't so high.
♦ When in doubt fold
Others have also mentioned that this decreases with time, and experience.
Best of luck,

I experienced unbeliverble thing. as many guys recommended, I meditated. I followed monk's meditation way. and today I played Dafa double up SNG and I won. and after that, I played fulltilt minimum room. and I won!
the monk who adviced me by his blog instructs me to close my eyes and imagine the moment when I win, and when I lose. and he instructed me to don't get any emotion by that. just look. whichever I win or loose, just look.
after I obey the words, I had no shivering. when I won, I calmed. It was same when I lost.
Hi, sg99050
That is very good news.
Now the question that will be hard to answer:
Is the tension gone because you are winning -- or are you winning because the tension is gone?
When I was first going through the exercises in "The Mental Game of Poker" my game immediately got better also.
Since then I have had deep downswings, but they no longer bother me as much because I KNOW I can come back.
All the best,
