I don't think you can beat this one - at least not if you are first to act. The computer has position over you which is the absolute nuts here
you can play it here, where u decide whether to be first or second

Its binary logic. Thats why the computer is so good at it.

HOW TO WIN:
Create a "symmetrical" board on each of your turns
Suppose:
XXX
XXXXX
XXXXXXXXX
XXXXX
XXX
If it is your turn then you clear the 3rd row creating a symmetrical board. Then you just copy your opponent's moves down to the very end and you win. At first I thought it was rigged too.

Im still learning this game.
Suppose you don't have a move that makes a symmetrical board such as
XX
XXX
XXXX
XXXXX
XXXXX
Make a move that does not give your opponent an opportunity to create the symmetrical board. For example if you remove one stone from the second row then your opponent clears row 3 making a symmetrical board and then he just autowins.
What I still haven't figured out is how to get a win out of a board such as
XXXXX
XXXX
XXX
XX
X
Where each row has a different number of stones. Still, I'm not doing bad figuring this game out after just 10 minutes. I won 2 and lost like 10 lol.
This will be the last of my post frenzy as I am now beginning to get bored of this game and my head is starting to hurt.
If your opponent leaves u with a symmetrical board you cannot win. Also this computer likes to leave you with
XXX
XX
X
Where you cannot win since no matter what you do your opponent creates a symmetrical board after you take your turn.
In any form of nim there are some situations where you can't win even from the start of the game. There also are situations where your opponent can't win if you know what you are doing. One screw up costs you the game. Haven't tried reverse one yet.
