Hey guys my name is Ben. I have been playing poker for about 2 years now, but only started playing regularly about a year ago.
I'm currently a winning player in live poker, but am losing pretty substantially in online microstake cash games. At first I thought it was just the bad beats, until I realized I need to learn how to hit the fold button even with big hand when facing aggression. A lot of people have said that by tightening up, I won't find myself in as many cooler situations. However, I found that I lose a ton of money with the premium hands like AK because its harder to fold TPTK and top two pair. It's easy for me to fold a weak top pair, but when I run into a fish I almost never fold TPTK because I think that they'd overvalue something worse. And they do, but a lot of the time they have 2 pair plus.
Any suggestions? I just find it hard to fold when I know that some portion of the time they will be value owning themselves.
