KJo ui in BU 0.5/1

In a sense, every pair is a bluff catcher. There are 64 pocket pairs, and if you add to that 16 combos of KQ and a number of X2s and X4s holdings, then you are bluff catching a shitload here. I am folding either on the flop or on the turn. Avataren would probably reraise since he is much better than us.

You sound exactly like Kavboj. He hates folding, but he also hates money. What makes you think that your opponent employs a game theoretically optimal flop-raising strategy against you?

The hand is also illustrative of how bad these toy-models of game theory are. If you think you should fold 15% of your range to a raise here, then you are brain-dead.

I dont... I thought that was the point of it. How do you think people in general would play this hand in BU? And how would they play it in BB?

Never mind. Say this player doesnt raise any draws or close to none, then yes I should fold this one. Say he knows/thinks that alot of players think like you, folds to much, and raises loads here as a general exploit, then I should call down with KJo and more. Say he plays GTO or close to it, then I should call down with this hand I think... I cant really say cause I havnt played him alot, and I havnt played 0.5/1.0 in a while, so I cant tell if theres a general standard here, but I dont see why he wouldnt think like I do or like you do. I dont know.

I misread the hand ♦ I thought it was SB vs BB. In position, I am calling on the flop, but it is close. The turn is a definite fold (no draws picked up).

In what way is calling you better insulting you? You claim everywhere that you are the best the micros have ever seen (except for that Russian Hemul that you adore). This isn't right. You may be folding something like 40% (maybe 45% if you are wild) depending on what you both open and c-bet.

This is over-folding if we fold on the flop. We "should" fold something like 22% getting 7:2 (his effective investment if he bluffs is 2 SB) if we go by the one-street-at-a-time model. Calling flop seems fine from this perspective.

The bottom line is that, if you call down all streets with KJ, then you are calling down with a huge range (as opposed to folding early 50%). KJ is, of course, not the bottom of the range on the flop, but on the turn it should be quite close to it. By the river it is the rock bottom if you are still in.

Nope. I did not call maddy a mass murderer. I questioned why I should trust him, him being from a country with recent history of mass murder. And was probably misinformed about his nationality. I apologized the day after. (Had been insanely drunk and lost four figure numbers) But I did call YOU for asslicker.
