SB: $35.55 (355.5 bb)
BB: $10 (100 bb)
UTG: $11.95 (119.5 bb)
Hero (MP): $11.10 (111 bb)
CO: $10 (100 bb)
BTN: $14.28 (142.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q A
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.30, CO raises to $0.90, 3 folds, Hero raises to $2.20, CO calls $1.30

Flop: ($4.55) K 5 Q (2 players)
Hero ??

Preflop: Default open. The CO 3bets and AQo is in my standard defending range in this situation. His 3bet% is 6 at that point (85 hands). My default play would be flatting, but since I'm not very comfortable in playing 3bet pots out of position and 3bet% of 6 is not dramatically high, I decided to 4bet bluff.

Flop: I hit 2nd pair, but Kx is a big part of his range, I believe. What should I do there? Bet/fold? Check/call? Check/fold?

CO: 23/18/6/85 (VPIP/PFR/3B/H)

I've recently started playing NL10 and my in my book I rarely call/raise regs who have only 6% of 3bet - specially out of position. By that said I would probably fold AQo (I would consider a 4bet if it is suited.) Since you've decided to defend it with a 4bet and he calls - on that flop I would probably CBet 'cos thats almost the only way to win out your invested money and I can see him folding Hands like J♣:J♦: or T♣:T♦: - He is never going to continue on that flop. And they are in his range alot of the time. Altough its tough that he have the same hand like you do some time I think he could have it and he shouldnt be able to make that call on that flop. Considering that range I think you should try stabbing it with 2,90$. If he calls /raise you know you're screwed. I rarely see him here with AK (similar as to with AQ), and would put him on single pair hands 10+

Would like to see some opinions on my opnion ;)
Cheers!

If he has JJ or TT, I actually don't want him to get out of the hand because mine is better. Also, I don't see better hands folding, so bluffing doesn't make sense. Worse, like JJ-TT might call one bet, more often than bet vs my check. Having said that, maybe bet/folding flop and check/folding later streets would be the best play, since I don't expect him to call flop and bet turn/river with worse.

I dont see him calling your bet anytime with TT or JJ not after you 4bet the flop. You are often repping QQ+ - however I see him bluffing your check/check with JJ or TT on later streets which puts you in a tough position to play the best hand.

As I see it, it's more probable that he will call my bet with those hands than that he will bet himself. I also don't see him bluffing them on later streets because what better can he expect me to fold? If I was him, I wouldn't expect myself to fold AQ to one bet and two-streets bluffs in 4bet pots are realy rare, I would say.

Thank you for the effort to analyse, btw! Seems that no one else wants to participate. :f_biggrin:

MPvsCO AQ is a call. On flop I prefer xc.

In general, people don't 3bet very wide from COvs.MP so I would fold it to the 3bet. I don't like to call this hand OOP vs. almost unknown. If you call preflop, the best hand you will often have would be TPTK type. And you will not realize its equity very often since you are OOP. What is the plan for the next streets on A high board, Q high?

I dont mind the 4bet OOP as a bluff
OTF, I would check and depending of bet sizing I would call or fold

i would def fold. 6% 3bet is nitty and if u see 6% range u know that there are almost no hands ur ahead.

85 hands ... your 3bet sample could be completely skewed.

vs depolarized 6% range - you have 41%.

vs polarized 5% range:
MP2 47.88% 46.26% 1.62% QQ+, AKs, A5s-A2s, J9s, T8s, AKo, AJo, KQo
MP3 52.12% 50.50% 1.62% AsQd

A 6% overall 3bet range doesn't mean he 3bets 6% in MPvcCO. I believe villains range is more value heavy in these spots.

MPvsCo it is 5-6. Anything above 2% is not value heavy.
