QJs in 3bet pot with FD OTF, check behind or bet?

I would bet here. I don't think villain is ever checking this flop with Ax hand and he is not 3betting 33,44 pre. We block his flush draws pretty good. Villain has QQ or KK and will fold to a bet

Yes, would bet as well. The check on an Ace-high board gives you high fold equity unless villain suddenly knows how to balance his range in a sophisticated matter (but I doubt that).

Even in the scenario that he balanced his range against you (because balancing should be made quite specifically otherwise you lose value over time). Villain still should fold 70%+ of the time. One of the most profitable balances you can get by checking good / bad hands is around 80/20 (in which you check 20% of good hands).

Ur hand have good equity, no need to force villain fold right now. Btw, I doubt many villains would fold KK, QQ, or even smaller pocket pairs like 55-JJ. Depending on villain ur fold equity is not that great, and u can get check raised, what ll really suck w this hand.

Define "good". Against what range do you think a queen high flush draw has good equity?

Also do we not think this is a bit of a loose call pre even in position?

Definitely equity enough to turn it in to a bet/fold play on flop.
And I think its a good call, since u dont play just fit or fold and know the tendencies of villain posflop.

Btw, against a range of TT+, AK, AQ, KQ we have 39,11% equity on this flop. Not to mention if it goes a bit polarized, the equity goes wildly up ♠_wink:

Well, almost 40% in equity seems "good" to me.

villain is 3betting lot wider than that in the bb vs button I'm fairly sure
