VS 3BET OOP BvB: KJo Turn Spot

Preflop: I don't like defending KJ here. The fact that he makes some random stuff doesn't mean he is bad (or does it?), and is probably not the ideal opponent to sit out of position of with 9% of stacks in already preflop holding KJ.

Postflop: That check-back by an unpredictable player doesn't make me feel entirely comfortable. He is not checking to give up the hand. He raises your bet. Now he is polarized. It is up to you to guess. It was your plan to bet big and keep bombing (no FE with a little bet + guy is not folding to one bet, conforms with my assessment). You had no contingency play for getting raised, and that would be the error (if any:)).

i would play prety much the same ... postflop we can make 2 plays

-bet big or overbet turn because we have a very strong hand (meaning that if he calls it's ok given our equity) and we hate villain getting tricky raising here
-or bet T 2/3 and reevaluate river

as played... i would call because we are drawing to the nuts and we have pretty good pot odds ... maybe implied odds too if he wakes up with 99 or J8
there is a flush draw possible which sucks but our hand is well concealed

PS for me to shove turn in that spot i must have a strong read in order to do that

OTT villain raises polarized. Our shove has great fold equity and if he calls we have double gutter and overs.

I never call KJo preflop OOP. I would 4bet as a bluff.

I think odds are not good and I would fold. There is diamonds, so we are not always having the nuts when we hit straight.

As played here, the raise OTT looks to me a slow played monster. You can safely fold IMO.

This seems fine on all streets. 4-betting PF is an option, but bvb, your hand is definitely strong enough to call (PF).

I think postflop is very well played. I think villain bets the flop with a set usually. I don't like flat calling this turn as much; mainly because we're OOP. If we were in position, I'd probably call more often. Furthermore, it's tough to call because you don't have great river plans- do you just donk bet if you hit a straight? Are you doing the same if it's a diamond and turning your hand into a bluff? (I think you need to do this if you do flat call the turn raise).
