Hero made a standard open with A♦:A♠: and hit and overpair. Since villain always bets when checked to him and doesn't like to give up a decent pair vs Hero, Hero decided to maximise value with check/raising the flop. OTT Hero had two options: 1) bet and set a river shove, 2) check/shove to get max value, protect vs draws and/or to avoid villain to pay Hero off OTR if another club hits. Since villain has relativelly high AF, Hero expects him to protect and value bet the turn, which makes check/shoving more profitable than betting turn and river.

Jesus... do you just filter all your J9 hands and post them here? xD
This hand is for sure tougher, since we cant get any concrete sizing tells.

Anyway, Hero's turn range is mostly 88, QQ, J9s, although I dont agree alot with c/r bluffing the flop with J9 in this spot...

And since I believe BU's range blocks alot of Queens Im going with
8♠:8♥:

For the week 3 hand I think hero has a wide value heavy flop check raising range given the read that villain will always bet when checked to with a merged range and will not fold any pair. Given that villain is known to be sticky postflop then I think if hero is playing well expltoitively he will have few XR bluffs in his range.

While a cbet would be a more normal line for value with AQ+, given the tendencies of this villain, widening our value XR range here is good as we get value from all his air and more money in the pot . I think hero may do this with even KK and AA. AQ is less good as a XR for value given we block his combos of Qx that can call a XR:that said, if he is as big a station as the note suggests he may call with 99-JJ. I am torn between AA,KK and 88. Combinatorically, there are fewer 88 combos than either AA or KK and this is an unusual line but I think it is good for value against a fish and holding AA and KK also blocks villain having AQ and KQ combos somewhat.

In conclusion, I think hero has 88 but I would not be surprised to see AA,KK or even AQ as hyper exploits against this villain.

A♣: K♣:
Standard open raise 3 bb. We know villain is likely to bet flop so we re-raise showing strenght. On turn we believe we can make him fold his top/second pair or eventually fight with our flush draw, straight draw and 2 overcards.

9♣:8♣:

I'm pretty sure this is a little far-fetched, but I've put some thought into this so I'd like to share it anyway and see what you guys think.

Since we have no info on Villain I'll asume he's a NL25-50 decent player able to fold a medium strenght hand. We have a lot of strong hands OTF (88, AA, KK, QQ), and villain's capped coldcall range has none but 88, and maybe QQ if he's flating vs UTG. I believe that makes this flop pretty good for us to XR bluff. So this is my approach: what hand we can XR the flop as a bluff and XR the turn again? I believe 98 of clubs is a good hand to XR the flop because it's not a good enough hand to XC, imho. It has the additional advantage that it's leaving only one combo of 88 in villain's range and Qx hands will have a hard time calling down. And then, OTT, we loose the initiative and represent a bluff by checking, but the Tc has actually given a lot of equity to our hand (FD + OESD), so we are looking for a second XR that puts villains' Qx hands in a difficult position, and if he happens to call we still win more than 30% of the time. So we shove to maximize our fold equity.

So... Far-fetched but possible, right? Or did I make a horrible mistake somewhere?

I believe Hero has KK or AA and is trying to get maximum value, putting Villain on a Qx,...even an 8x hand. On the turn Hero puts a lot of pressure with his check\raise, knowing that Villain's range is wide and he usually has a mediocre hand(and also knowing that he pays off in a lot of situations against him).
I say Hero has AA.

Hero flops middle set which is quite nuts in this scenario. I guess that if the villain would had QQ he would 3bet preflop. According to our reads, there is no need to c-bet. It's better to slowplay against this opponent. He bets the flop which means that he hits something so it's good to 3bet him to build a pot because as a weak player he can't fold what he hits. When he calls 3bet and the turn card hits his range even better we assume he will bet on turn again and because the board is getting too much wet we have a plan to shove on his bet.

I take KK, cause nobody has choosen this hand.
I give the hero no bluff, even no semi bluff like AKs with 2 overs, cause I see the opp. not folding on the turn.
How much fold equity do we need? Even if we don't get enought = good for meta game?
(I've only tried these semi bluffs 1-2x and got always called by Top or 2nd pair. No rep...)
So normally the hand should be AKs...

"KK" for thin value raises on flop and turn vs the right opponent.

And here is the result ladies and gentlemen

Mr. Tobman78 guessed the correct result but he posted after deadline and therefore is disqualified according to the rules.

However, as he was the only one who guessed the exact hand the wise men at Pokerstrategy have decided that he will be included in the raffle for the main prize along with other mind readers who had the right idea but ultimately picked the very close but different hand for the hero.

So Join us Tonight 20:00 CEST for hand analysis and to see who won the private coaching as we raffle the winner in real time!

let's say it is QTs, j9s,97s. May be Hears, clubs or Diamonds.
We have a pair QTs on backdoor fd, gutshot 97s, or j9s - 2 backdoors only.
So, overshove river looks pretty strong, so it is not QTs on straight board.
It is one of J9s or 97s. Hero's position is MP and this is last week - so it is hard to guess hand. My opinion it is j9s - I'm not sure that on micro it is profitable to open 97s from MP - only if you natural soul-mind reader. I guess - it is j9s
