I loved all things Lego except stepping on them in the dark!
Lego wasn't available when I was a kid, but we did have similar plastic building blocks
My son -- now over 40 -- still gets Lego kits
I liked dolls and plushies ...when I got a bit older (around 10) then it was Barbie for me!!! :heart::heart::heart:

As a 30 plus male, I'm also not afraid to admit that I have a soft spot for cute plushies.

A few years ago, I found out that there's an entire community of grown adults who decided to take Lego beyond the use of a kid's toy and turn it into a serious, creative hobby. Some of the stuff I saw was really impressive, with great attention to detail.
There are way too many examples to list, but among other things, check out:
All way out of my league, obviously, but as a young teen, I remember once coming up with a working ski jumping ramp for Lego minifigures, for example, which at one point even included a working elevator powered by an electric motor that would lift the minifigs up to the top of the ramp.
When I was twelve, I also had a set that allowed you to build your own programmable robots with Lego. Features included some basic buttons that would detect when the robot hits a wall or obstacle, or fancy stuff like an infrared sensor that would detect when it runs under furniture. You could program your robot in any way you see fit to get out of those situations then. A nice way to introduce children to the field of programming as well - who says education can't be fun?
Long before I have any memories, someone (my aunt I believe) gave me a stuffed Koala.
It was hardly "plushy", since it was rather firm, and not exactly cuddly.
It was hard to hold in a toddler's wee hands, and as you can tell from the picture, I carried it around by an ear or whichever paw was handiest to grab.
It sits on my dresser even now.
About the only time I didn't have it was when I lived in the bush...
This time, the Courchevel cashed. A mincash, pretty close to making the next ladder, after which the payjumps would have been a lot quicker, but there's no prize for that. Everything else, still not much going on, except for a small Badugi bounty.
I hope things will pick up again, but I'm sure things will look a lot better by next week. 
Troll Calendar - Day 10
It's another Christmas bauble from last year's series, but this time, it's one we didn't have yet. 
Which is it?
Oh, what a lovely surprise, it's another reindeer. 
A slightly odd looking one too.
Maybe I'll eventually gather all the baubles we have so far, including the ones from last year, to take a picture of our current collection. There are eight different ones in total, we have half of them by now.
Tomorrow's update will most likely be a lot later than usual, but don't worry, it's coming.

Two cashes last night, another mincash in the Courchevel and decent one in the 8-Game. Badugi failed again, which is pretty sad. A few days ago, my ROI in that game for this year has already slipped below 100%, and if things carry on like that, I won't manage to get it back up either.
No session tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow. If thing aren't going any better this weekend, a longer break of a few days may be in order. I could use this time then to do some reading on the games I'm playing, and some other ones I may pick up in the future.
Troll Calendar - Day 11
Today was a special day, because the egg of today's Troll Calendar was drawn by none other than Pokerstrategy's Primrose6789 herself, who paid me a visit today.
Our lovely grindette and Speaker of the Trolls skillfully drew a girly egg. What will be inside?
You may not be able to tell from the plastic parts alone right now, but it's a ring! Not another figurine like that pony a few days ago that came with a ring - just a ring. And yet again, it seems to be part of that Applaydu series, so it's apparently not just about animals and stuff.
Those instructions confused me a little. It does use a sticker for the ring, which is clear enough, but it looks like it also comes with some kind of compartment to put a some paper or note inside, but it didn't come with any papers.
I assume it's just a compartment to put whatever you want inside - but please stay on the right side of the law. 
For demonstration purposes, I simply put the paper that used to hold the sticker inside the compartment.
Here's the whole thing:
The ring itself was a lot less flexible than the one that came with the pony, so neither Prim nor I managed to properly put it on our adult hands. So here's me wearing it on my pinky finger instead.
I think that you provide the paper.
I suggest putting a paper in it, with some random numbers and symbols, along with one of these:
Then, leave it for someone to find, and have fun wondering why the Illuminati are communicating through KinderSurprise...

Troll Calendar - Day 12
What will we find in our reg egg today? Looks like another Christmas messenger for our troll train.
Yes, it's a polar bear riding a blue sled, with some bells attached to the sled's rear.
I would love to welcome him to the Troll Train, but those plastic parts at the front and back just don't seem to fit very well with any of the other ones.
Let him do his own thing, then. Maybe he can ride ahead of the train to scout whether the area is clear and all. Or use his bells to announce to everyone that the troll train is coming to town.
300 years from now, Christmas legends will include a polar bear on a snowmobile...
Yesterday went a bit better. Courchevel bricked again, but I collected a bunch of bounties in the Badugi and made a decent cash, amounting to $13.51 in total.
I would have been on pace for FT as well, but decided to take a risk with a drawn K-Badugi in a three-way pot with one player already all-in and another deep stack behind me who also drew 1. Knowing that if he misses, which happens in the majority of times, I could either get him out of the pot, giving me a free shot at a bounty and a good stack, or play for an even bigger pot as a 62% favorite if he calls, I decided to push all-in right away. However, he called and stood pat on what turned out to be a J-Badugi. Maybe he would have decided to redraw if I had stood pat all the way instead of discarding my K on the last draw.
8-Game had another unlucky situation, where I kept pushing with my 7-low in the 2-7 TD part near the bubble, and got outdrawn on the last draw by a slightly better 7-low. However, I at least made it past the bubble to secure a mincash.
All together, a nice short-term success, but it doesn't change much. Early in my session already, I was noticing that I'm just not "feeling it" these days. Both my confidence and my enthusiasm for the games are just not what they used to be at the moment. Maybe the lockdowns, which will be further tightened up again soon too, have something to do with it. Whatever it is, a small break might really be in order, probably just a for a few days. I'll see if I will start today or tomorrow, depending on how I'm feeling around that time.
And speaking of which, perhaps my usual evening grind isn't the best point to play during these times? It's not like I'm lacking for flexibility right now, so maybe I could look into that too.

Not quite, it's another Santa. In case the other one gets sick, you know. Gotta stay flexible this year.
The other Santa could have lent him some of his own reindeer, of course, but I think he needs all the pulling power he can get - even though they are technically riding sleds as well...
So, Santa #2, just stay ready...
