Indeed, I have just confirmed that "schmelzkäse" is the official translation for "processed cheese", though Vorpal's translation is spot-on in a literal sense.

I have used it before for some sort of meatball sandwiches. The story behind it is that back when I was growing up, my father sometimes used to make some German style pork meatballs, and I had the idea of using them for some sort of burgers back then, using regular bread rolls and some of that processed cheese among other toppings (usually onions, sometimes some roasted onions in addition, bacon, and possibly some barbecue sauce). Also, the meatballs were usually cut in half for that.

We may have used that cheese because it just happened to be around when I first tried it, but it stuck. Even though I'm now making "proper" burgers pretty often at home, I still sometimes have a craving for those old meatball sandwiches in the style my father used to make them - well, I had the sandwiches back then, my parents just ate those meatball as they are. In fact, that's the reason I bought that cheese, I wanted to make them some time again.

Here's what they look like:

And here without the cheese:

This is it with Unibet!

As Andy wrote in the Unibet-Thread:

"As you may be aware, a new turnover tax on gambling is expected to come into effect in Germany from the 1st of July 2021. This new tax will have a big impact on poker, and we anticipate that we’ll have to make the following changes from the 1st of July onwards: -

• Cash games will be disabled for DE players
• SNGs will be disabled for DE players
• The loyalty program will be disabled for DE players"

Well. That means for me as Cash player: This is it! Going to cash out! _cry:_frown:

That's too bad... :f_cry: Really worrying stuff, who knows when everyone else will be forced to comply too.

It's very sad how online poker has been ruined in so many countries by now through those kinds of regulations. And now it's increasingly happening over here too.

Well, the Germans make good meatballs, to look on the bright side...

I just looked this up.
It is horrible.

And here I thought turnovers were tasty treats

It's a turnover -- a fruit-filled pasty
Very tasty -- but rather difficult to make (for me) so I generally get 'em at the bakery

I care! (Gardening update)

Gardening this year is almost successful, this time it is not me who messes up but the weather. April and May were way too cold here and this time summer is not that warm either. Don´t need a hot summer but those temperatures lead to a slower growth of my plants. Anyway, the cucumbers, tomatoes and chilis grow well, even though the flowering came way later as usual.

But of course, not gardening with Prim without this:

Yes, guys, I got another troll-sunflower! It was too late when I found out that there is one, so I decided not to destroy it but care for it. :f_biggrin:

ITM with blooper equity

After a very nice bike tour (with no flat tire) it was poker time! After a nice afternoon nap, Baby Peach hit the tables: 2.20 $ PLO-PKO, the 1.10 $ HORSE and of course the Troll Freeroll. We can report ITM again: not only in the PLO-PKO we cashed with a nice bounty, there was also an ITM in HORSE. :f_cool: In the Troll Freeroll we unfortunately lost a coinflip shy before ITM, but that didn´t matter because, was very tired anyway. Even though the cashes in PLO and HORSE were min-cashes, we can report a litte winning and that we had a lot of fun.

There were also little bloopers: :f_ugly: Once accidentally played RAZZ in Stud, but realized it on the 4th street and folded :f_biggrin::f_ugly: Another blooper was playing Stud hi lo in Stud but getting there with a full house 55533 :f_biggrin::f_ugly:. Guess that was blooper equity :f_ugly:

:f_biggrin: Don't worry about it, that happens to the best of us.

I'm really impressed with your cash, I'm not doing too well in HORSE myself. It's remarkable that you managed to cash so soon, after I shared what little I know about the Stud type games. I guess it helps that you seem to be doing a lot better in the flop based games than me.

Now what is really fun is when you accidentally play razz in the stud segment and win with A2345 and still don't clue in

Actually, I played Stud hi lo in Stud and instead of A-2-3-4-5, I got a full house 55533. :f_ugly: by raising pre ...urm ...draw or whatever ... with 5-3-2 ..urm..triple suited in hearts. :f_ugly::f_ugly:

Where do I go?

When it comes to poker rooms I really have to ask myself this question. There is not much left for German players. :f_o: So after looking around, especially for nice PLO games, I decided to give Partypoker another chance. It is, besides Stars, the only room left if you want to play PLO cash and MTTs with some decent traffic, maybe Titan but the rake is huge at the iPoker network!

I just put 20€ on Party. Just to try it out. The problem with my first names should be solved soon now, got also my brand new passport, I hope there won´t be huge issues when it comes to verify my account and cashing out. But I´m still careful and that´s why I deposited only 20 €, just to try out. That´s what I did yesterday and concerning MTTs I found myself in PLO paradise! Plenty of PLO and PLO8 MTTs, the cash tables I still have to try out, but at least the MTT schedule looks fine for a PLO player.

Tried out the 2.20 $ PLO8 deepstack and could make it ITM. I min-cashed only but that was a good start. Played also the 2.20 $ PLO-PKO on Stars but yesterday it really went crappy! Or rather: I played crappy! Maaaaaan, will I ever learn to play the underfull correctly?!:rage: I should look up again, how to play middle sets and underfulls. :rage: And also on Party I busted with this crappy underfull. :rage: Got range definition totally wrong a couple of times, so that was not my best PLO yesterday!

Played also the 1.10 $ HORSE on Stars, which was big fun but lost a big pot in RAZZ with A-2-3-6 .....and nothing came (had raised pre-draw with A-2-3). There was also some bad luck in PLO: busted from the 2.20 $ PLO-PKO with the flopped nut str8, Villain with a set got there and rivered quads.

From the "Troll Freeroll" Harrier and I busted pretty early, I lasted a bit longer, card-dead, and then running with 22 into 77.

By the way: Competition season in tennis starts next weekend and I won´t be able to play poker on Saturdays until September.

That is the toughest spot in all of poker.

Notice, Stars just added antes to PLO MTTs (not all but most...)! Same as Party and GG... The only thing that's different is that in stars antes are included in the pot preflop, so pot size raises can be bigger. PLO8 MTTs are still ante-less though, so that's good!

I quit Party because their software started freezing a ton, plus my nitty PLO/8 nature made it hard to beat the ante tournaments and it kinda looked like there were not that many terrible players as there are in Stars and GG.

We should bother Kyybs for some PLO with antes coaching and aggro play in multiway pots because most pots in PLO MTTs are multiway. :f_thumbsup:

Until then, I think I will stick with Battle Royales and Flip n Go's :f_biggrin:

I quit Party back then because of the terrible customer service. But where should I go now? I loved Unibet! But they don´t offer CG for German players anymore. What should I do as CG-player? There are not many opportunities for German players :f_frown: Stars, Party or iPoker. On Party they at least offer some nice PLO-MTTs, for the case I have time and there´s low traffic on the CG-tables. So, I can at least resort to PLO-MTTs. Otherwise, I have no idea how to put in a decent volume. :f_rolleyes:

Okay, the decent volume will come after competition-season and during the off-season but I at least have to have an idea how on earth I can play a decent volume. On Stars traffic in PLO CGs is pretty poor. :f_frown:
