Yes, this is right. I had such a good time with my friends that I just didnΒ΄t want to get up and go to the bathroom. So, I ignored the urge to pee.... until it was too late and the yellow liquid just came out of my body like a waterfall.
Everybody was laughing and I felt quite ashamed, I think (donΒ΄t remember exactly).
Sunday HORSE Race
Once again, not a lot to say. I mentioned last time that I might not even use my second bullet anymore. Well, this time Primrose was in that kind of situation. She lost with AA to 22 early on in the Hold'em part, and didn't really feel like rebuying - so she didn't. We will probably amend the rules so we will only have one bullet in here to begin with.
So I got the easy win this time, like Primrose did last Sunday. I made it until the end of late reg, at least, but not ITM either.

It's okay, we'll find better poker challenges - but probably not until some time next month, we are both a little busy right now.
Also, I made an effort today to deal with those "Christmas Mussgoes" I mentioned, but we'll get to those some other time. I'll leave you with our Troll Trivia question for next week for now.
Troll Trivia of the Week
After making the jump from his university team to the local Rugby club that year, Harrier scored his first try in a regional league match on October 23rd, 2010. It wasn't an ordinary game, though, because...
1) There was a game-ending brawl shortly before half time
2) A talent scout from the German national team happened to be in the audience
3) Our home pitch was waterlogged, forcing us to relocate on short notice
I think all 3 are true, but only one is from that day
3) Our home pitch was waterlogged, forcing us to relocate on short notice
Not that day
2) A talent scout from the German national team happened to be in the audience
He was supposed to be there, but he didn't show up that day.

I play my 3 out of 3 out of 1

You may have a point about drawing a connection between Prim's driving style and the way she plays tennis and PLO...Luckily, I'm the one doing the driving when we're meeting up in person.
But if her playing style in Mario Kart is any indication...

I will reveal which one is correct and to what degree I had experienced the other two options in the solution next Friday.
For clarification, we will not do any trick questions here where more than one answer (or none at all) will be correct, it will always be one correct choice. The "all three happened, but only one happened that time" thing, however, may indeed occur sometimes...
Btw, Primrose mentioned during a chat today that she actually doesn't know the answer to this week's question. The Trolls are not playing, but for what it's worth, Prim may share what she would guess, if she likes.
Christmas Mussgoes
As I mentioned, we still have some mussgo ingredients from our Trollsmas Market challenge. I did make some mini donuts as my first item on the list, but another one that we didn't get to was the "Christmassy" donut variation.
For those, I planned to use a version of this recipe, while still using my mini donut maker. As the recipe says, we would also use some lemon extract to give those "Christmassy" donuts some extra flavor.

Wet ingredients:

Dry ingredients:

...and a bit of a problem, as we were putting them together: That dough was way too dry, it actually came out like I usually hope my bread dough would turn out - which instead often ends up being much too fluid, like what I would have needed for those donuts instead... ![]()

Thing is, the donuts from this recipe are meant to be deep-fried. For this, this kind of consistency should have worked fine, but it won't do for my donut maker. I guess I should have planned better ahead.
I just added some more milk, trying to save this actually pretty tasty dough.

According to the recipe, you're supposed to cover and refrigerate the dough overnight too. There's no time for this! Clearly, the author has not yet played Overcooked with the Trolls.
I tried to put that dough in the donut maker then. Unfortunately, it was still a little thick. I suspected that they wouldn't have a perfect donut shape coming out... ![]()

Surprise - they didn't...

But the worse problem was that those donuts were extremely brittle, so I had a lot of trouble getting them out of the hollows, even though they were well greased.

I didn't feel like doing so much clean-up for every batch, so I got my baking pan for regular sized donuts out. The remaining dough, however, was just about enough for a single regular donut...

And I even greased the entire pan before. Not exactly German efficiency, is it?

I had to play it by ear, since those donuts are not even supposed to be baked in the oven. And well... speaking of non-perfect donuts shapes... ![]()

It was still very brittle too. I somehow got this out of the pan:

We're not rating this anymore since the challenge is over, but if we did... this would have been a situation where zero stars would have been appropriate.
Even though it was still somewhat tasty.

Combined with the cocoa I made at the same time, all this mess made cleaning up my kitchen later on really feel a little like cleaning the Augean Stables...
Don't worry, we will have some more successful cooking stories to report soon, hopefully tomorrow already.

Thank you, deralte! Nice to see you again in the forum. :f_love::f_thumbsup:
Harrier your donut disaster looks like my churro-disaster.
And when I halfway succeeded to make them, I realized that they are WAY too heavy on my stomach!

Good churros are a thing of beauty, but I guess you won't get around deep-frying them if you want good results.Looks like we had a bunch of attempts at cooking stuff which turned out to be oddly shaped, but still strangely edible. I suppose it really was a Trollsmas market...

It's back after the Christmas break!
We have several further stops planned, but this week, I'm excited to take you on a virtual culinary trip to the Mediterranean.

That's right, we're going to Spain for our first stop this year. We will be making some aioli for our burgers, even though it originated in southern France, but it is popular in Spain too. I was using this recipe, with adjusted measurements.
There are bottles of aioli available at the stores, but forget about that, let's chop some garlic, add a generous pinch of salt and get our mortar and pestle ready.

Now all we need to do is to gradually add some olive oil and a bit of lemon juice, then stir and mash. I don't know, I think it came out a little oily? I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that, but it's still tasty.

There isn't much special about the beef patties, except that we were frying them in olive oil this time too.

For the toppings, I got us some "tapas style" serrano ham.

Let's just put the uncooked ham on top of the patty...

...add some black olives...

...and finally spread some of our homemade aioli on the top bun.

Our Spain-inspired burger is ready.

Β‘Muy bien! I wasn't sure how well the ham would fit when I first had this idea, but especially with the aioli, it was a surprisingly good combo. Primrose approved too, she wouldn't mind trying it.
By now, it's getting pretty hard to make a proper ranking without side by side comparisons, but right now, I'd say I would put this at #3, just about, though it's a closely contested Top Four for me now.
1st Switzerland
2nd Greece
3rd Spain
4th Germany
5th Texas
6th Mexico
7th England
8th Hungary

I would feel bad if it wasn't, I risk 3 out of 3 out of 1 and if I were to make a mistake it's fine, it's a game and I'm having fun:f_thumbsup::f_grin:
Spoiler
On the hamurger, in my opinion even if I have not tasted it lacks a sauce that covers it and a crunchy part

Yes, and on a TROLL-mas market "Reibekuchen" turns quickly into Swiss RΓΆsti and Churros into Austrian "Kaiserschmarrn". :mdr::mdr::mdr:
Deep fried stuff is unfortunately not for me: It leads to massive rebellion in my stomach!

That's what it's about.
We have many questions prepared already, all involving stuff we haven't disclosed on the forum yet (at least we think so), so I'm sure everyone will get their share of correct and wrong guesses eventually.
As I said in my opening post, Prim and I were originally doing those quiz questions on Discord with each other, and we thought they were fun, so I had the idea of making this version where our readers can get involved. It's also a way for us to share all those stories, and for you guys to get to know us better.
Do I understand correctly that you picked #1 in this question? The game-ending brawl?

The aioli is supposed to act as the sauce here, even though it was a little thin, but I didn't really mind.
I don't necessarily think that a good burger needs a crunchy part. Maybe you would prefer the Mexico-inspired version that we made last year?

Yes

Did you add eggs?
If you made garlic, oil, lemon, they are the basis of marinating.
You'll never have a sauce with just those ingredients
They are only advice, not criticism.
I love garlic and I think this variant is good too.
But he's missing something...
On the hamurger you need the crunchy part
The bread is soft
Meat is minced
On the palate everything is soft
That's why I say it needs a crunchy part
I had seen the Mexican variant
Sounds interesting to me

That all depends on what the crunchy part is. I like thinly sliced dill pickles in a burger. I'm 50/50 on lettuce. Crisp bacon works too.
