Some nice improvements in swimming today, but there is another weak area that could do with some improvement, which is poker, or more specifically Stud Hi-Lo.
I managed to get another final table today, which only had 4 places ITM this time, due to a low number of participants. I started out short, but got into a 4th place position later on, when I entered this situation. Seat 3 next to me, who was the bring-in, happens to be a known player from Badugi, who tends to be extremely aggressive, and remarkably lucky, in my experience. He inflated the pot a little here, but then got out after all, probably realizing I likely had the better low draw.
4th street was good, the rest... not so much. But it's not like my opponent hit anything better, until the end. Should I have pushed harder? My opponent seemed cautious enough as well, after catching bad, but would they have found a fold? I personally don't think so... but regardless, I just didn't have the heart this time, I guess.

All right, exit hand... I'm in last place on the bubble, and our aggro friend (BTN again) works his magic once more after I call with my decent low one-gapper. I have a lot of catching up to do by now, and I know that I have a decision to push or fold now - my opponent would make sure I can't see the board cheaply. Should I have gotten out, hoping the aggro player gets reckless and misses this time? I doubt he would have continued the way he did if I had folded as the shorty in this spot. Let's just see how it played out:

Bad run-out, both of us out, with me finishing on the bubble again. Bad decision to go for it here? Maybe, but I was getting out of options, and if I had hit my low, ideally with a high hand like a straight as well, I wouldn't be Monday-morning quarterbacking about it later. And if I had gotten out, causing my opponent to fold as well, I may have ended up blinding out and berating myself for not taking the chance here.
So we got two "whine hands" in the middle without my involvement, but what do you think about the other two, the first and the last one? Maybe I really should have pushed on 5th in the first hand.
