Preflop and on the flop our line is very standard. KQs is a strong hand to play for 3 bets vs a late position raise and lots of limpers.
On the flop we hit top pair and 3-bet against a check/raise for value. Against his 4-bet our K-kicker starts to look marginal.
So on the turn we improve to a flush draw and we're 3 ways. I expect to have greater than 33% equity (greater than average equity) and this is enough to at least bet the turn, but our opponent has bet. We discussed in the advanced coaching that when I raise its very likely that average equity will change (in other words, its likely the small blind will fold). As a result I shouldn't value raise unless I also expect to have greater than 50% equity against the player who capped the flop.
When the CO caps after raising preflop he can have AQ, KQ, QJ, 55, and sometimes QTs but even KQ-QT should be discounted. Most of his hands are better than my top pair.
My FD gives me 20% extra equity. When i'm behind I probably have 25% equity on average. Against his hand range I expect to have 40% equity.
