8-handed - online single table tournament

Blinds 50-100

MP2 840
Hero CO 1930 8♣6♣
BU 990

MP2 limps 100
Hero limps 100
BU minraises to 200
MP2 calls
Hero calls

comment: The preflop limp form Hero is awfull, but lets consider that this mistake was made and now we're trying to make the best of it on the flop.

Flop (750): 9♠3♣2♣

MP2 checks

Harrington: "A bet of 100 is too little (too easily called) but 200 or 300 looks about right to shake out any weak holders. This way his pot odds won't be too good in case he has a call."

Isn't this a realy bad decision? I think the right play here is to bet AI or check/fold, depending on other factors. Mostly and AI however because of the big pot.

What do you think?

shove or a bet-300 is fine in this spot imo.

Why not shove for more FE?

Because...if you shove he's more likely to put you on a draw or a bluff...?

Never compare Harrington with low BI SNGs!!!
In the games that he playes in, he has the same FE with his bet on the flop, but still a way out, if there is a lot of action behind him, but you have no FE on the low BI (and most higher BI) SNGs.
Harringtons are great books, read them, try to understand what he does, why he does it and in which environment he does it, then think about what you can use at your limits, and I can tell you, there won't be very much.

But you can learn a lot about poker and you can get new ideas that will develop your game, but not by using his plays unchanged in an online SNG.
