Hello,

My question is mainly about about flop play. Against typical TAG who is probably cbetting this board 100% of the time is it better to get it in now? Or is it better to call and float as I can possibly still the pot from him on scare cards like 6, 8, 9.

What factors should I consider deciding whether to raise or call?

Against a player with a high cbet and a low turn cbet a float is clearly the best play. They are unlikely to bet the turn if they don't improve to 2 pair (or have a big draw). This is a good flop to call on as part of villains range that crushes you (better flush draws with a pair) will bet the turn, whilst a lot of the range you are flipping against will slow down against you on the turn, allowing you to win the pot with a turn bet rather than flipping against them on the flop.

That said, the turn card is terrible for you, all the better flush draws have now definitely hit a higher pair, and there is no way your opponent is folding on the river with $25 left into a pot of what will be $85 if you shove.

I think villain has something on the turn, and whatever it is, beats your pair of fives so you don't really have a choice but to fold this turn.
