Villain is 19/15/12 through 47 hands. Feels like a solid and good tag, capable of making bluffs on turn/river (seen one so far, but suspecting few more). Hero's imago is pretty tight, haven't been in showdown with poor or mediocore hands at all. No previous history with the villain. My head is jammed and I find that nearly all the lines I can think of are not good ones. If folding preflop isn't an option, what is the best way to play this postflop?

You are out of position and all you have is a bluff catcher. Take a passive line as you're only going to make money out of people bluffing, so check again. Whatever you do, don't take a "bet and fold to raise" line as solid players can see right through this weak betting and force you off the best hand.

Your hand is underrepped when you check the turn this way so be prepared to call 2 streets.

My thoughts:

If I check the turn, villain will bet 100% of time. So check-folding on doesn't sound nice. If I bet like half a pot on turn, it looks like a stab. So if I check the river, he might bluff me very often. The problem is that he would have to call me on turn with nothing. If he had a straight, set or even top2, I think he would just check the river behind.

If I check-call the turn, I don't think he will 2nd barrel the river without a flush. As when I call the turn, I have something. And FE is pretty low as the board doesn't really change.

So is the best line check-call turn, check-fold river? Or should I always call river, even if opponent bets the turn?

If I call the turn, i'm always calling the river if it blanks. I might consider a fold if it's a 9, but then I would expect someone who rivers a better straight to check behind.

why not bet 2x ~2/3-3/4 pot (to wider our perceived vbetting range and in general have balanced and cheaper bluffs here)

opps range is of 2 categories mostly: 1, overpair which potcontrols 2, overcards which give up right?

now if we have a hand like 6789, 9TJQ w no flush, we want a feq vs both parts of that range right? so we should bet w those and bet again R to fold out the 1st category.

I think this is very +EV spot to bet 2x oop w a bulk of our range for both thin value and turning hands to bluffs.

I also doubt that on this limit this nitty reg is going to 2x bluff at this spot after we c/c the T.

If we bet the turn, and get called, we have to check/fold the river. That's just how it is.

When we check the turn, we're saying to our opponent we really have nothing. So if you call the turn and check the river again, a lot will really fancy their chances of getting you off your hand (because it so clearly isn't the nuts given the way you've played it).

This is why I call turn, call river.

It's the perfect spot for a cbet with a flush on this board, so when people don't make it on the flop, i'm happy to think a straight is good.
