What do you think villain is capable of calling you with on the turn? The guy is on the button and checks the flop, he isn't checking with a set or a straight.

The only hand he could possibly check the flop with then call on the turn is an 8. Nothing else makes sense....

Ribbo, would you happily check-fold the river then? I talked with z1pz0r about this hand yesterday, and the thing that makes this interesting is that villain is 43/6/0 passive calling station. And those guys make funny calls a lot of the time. TTxx is definitely in his range. Even KKQx/KKQQ with spades might call on the turn, although he shouldn't. Those guys don't care much about equities or possible dead draws. But 8 is in his range too. He has 2/3 pots left. I am sure that if he has any overpair he isn't folding. And passive calling stations don't like to fold. I couldn't check-fold the river with 2/3 pots left.

Well if you have a read about how he plays then sure go ahead and shove.

But you really thinks he checks the flop with a set of tens on the button after everyone else checks? There is an extremely small number of players where TT is in their range on the turn after that flop check.
