Hey guys, thought I'd see what you thought of this.
Playing in the 3.30 4k guaranteed on Stars. Av stack was about 7k and I got myself in a bit of a position.
After I'd raised I know I was right to call his re-raise but post flop should I have just bet then call a shove or check then fold to his bet?
I think I probably should've folded to his bet leaving myself with 23bb's but with so many people in the tourney figured I need to keep up.
With the re-raise however I was hoping he had AK,AQ and figured he'd cont bet all the time so just went with it.
Anyway, here's the hand.

Pre p/f. Where it depend how your image is and how loose he is.

If one of both is loose, push, othwerwise fold

Things like average chips dont really matter. In this spot I would check his hands see if hes spewin or 3 betting alot and if he is I would take this line. But mostly im just folding its a really marginal spot to put in the money in a VERY VERY soft tournament with 30 big blinds.

*folding preflop

His Cbet looks very weak, after all we gotta have instinct and if u knew u were ahead then go. After all if u wanna win a big tourney u gotta win some flips and get lucky sometimes even if u play very good poker.

3bet% if important here. With no reads I have no problem taking a flop and check shoving on this board. Also you could easily 4bet shove given the amount of chips in the pot preflop. Either option is fine but in todays game small 3bets just aren't as strong as they use to be!

Thanks for the reply's guy's.
Yeah 3 bet % v low without looking back at hm so i knew he wasn't light however with a hand as strong as 1010 just figured I need to see a flop. Looks like I played the hand okay, like you said you gotta win some flips etc to win a big tourney. I appreciate the comments
