Yeah, you are right. My initial impression though was that he seemed to be a fairly decent player, but that could by all means be very wrong as I only had a limited sample on him and no good reads.

So maybe it is best to go for the safe approach to begin with before finding out how good our opponent really is, and just give up? Or maybe it is better to find out by being aggressive and then adjust accordingly?

One benefit of the aggressive approach though, might be that we get a splashy image early on, if he calls us and sees our hand, and we then can get payed off in the future and at the same time get a feeling of how he thinks?

Any thoughts on that?

I don't like 3barreling here unless we really know very good the guy that he is capable of making hero-folds on the river. Your 3rd barreling range here is full of Ax hands which missed by river, you can't represent that much.
