Hi everyone,
first time posting a hand in the English forums.

It's also quite unusual posting this hand, since i'm actually quite happy with how i played this hand. I do however think, this is quite an interesting hand and would be interested in what you think about it.

I had only played little more than 50 hands at this table, so the stats about the players are somewhat vague.

PokerStars - $0.25/$0.50 (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

Hero (BTN): $17.57
SB: $4.58 <- just sat down
BB: $12.71 <-35/20 but no notes
UTG: $5.50 <- 25/9 taggish? hasnt made any noteworthy moves
MP: $22.29 <- 75/10 absolute fish. Has made donkbets with underpair and midpair/no kicker hands on 3 occasions.
CO: $8.09 <- 32/18 not much more info

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has Q♦ Q♣

UTG raises to $0.50, MP calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, Hero raises to $0.75, SB calls $0.65, BB raises to $1.00, UTG calls $0.50, MP calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.25, SB calls $0.25

So far, so good. Haven't seen a capped family pot in quite some time

Flop: ($6.00, 6 players) 6♣ J♦ J♣
SB checks, BB bets $0.25, UTG calls $0.25, MP calls $0.25, CO raises to $0.50, Hero raises to $0.75, fold, fold, fold, MP calls $0.50, CO calls $0.25

I like 3betting in this spot, since i don't see, how the CO is necessarily in front. Might be a Flushdraw or TT, JJ afterall. Given the potsize i want to see a showdown, and facing 3 players with having to call 2 cold may well make them fold hands with A and K in it.

Turn: ($8.75, 3 players) 6♠
MP bets $0.50, CO calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50

Now the tablefish donks once more. Hes done this several times and i dont think it represents much in terms of strenght. But not knowing wether he even knows what a checkraise is, or if it might also be a 6 or jack, i elect to call. Also the player in the middle might also be calling AA or KK. At least so i thought. When playing the hand i lost track of whether he called or raised before the flop. He just called, so thats more unlikely. But i'd like a cheap SD and i dont see the point in raising the turn.

River: ($10.25, 3 players) 9♣
MP checks, CO checks, Hero bets $0.50, MP calls $0.50, fold

Now when the 9♣ hits im prepared to make a crying call agains a flush at the river. Since both players check, i fancy a valuebet here. I am also prepared to fold to a checkraise, due to how both players played.

Lots of info to digest here. I do think your line can be the best option and that especially other flop lines are going to be difficult to justify. I think when we consider the size of the pot, our relative position to the flop raiser, and the fact that we have an overpair... to me raising seems like the best option on the flop.

We might consider just calling the raise but coldcalling with so many players to act is likely to lose us some value. Getting their Ax and Kx to fold will improve our equity a lot when we're currently ahead. AK will have a difficult decision and often fold when we 3-bet on the flop.

The turn is quite straight forward. We're probably ahead now and the board is dry. Often times we'll see AA,KK, TT, 99 type pairs and club draws.

On the river our decision becomes more difficult. The board is double paired and sometimes this means A-high will call but they aren't THAT likely to have A-high on the river. Also the 3-flush came in. A lot of the hands that might play aggressively on the flop which we were ahead of are flush draws.

I actually don't mind checking on the river but we wouldn't need a much stronger hand for me to think betting is a better play. Rarely they'll fold worse pocket pairs on this river but they won't fold better hands. I dont expect to be raised very much on the river either because even a flush will be concerned that we have a full house.

So to my mind you played the hand quite well. This river is close and I'd probably check, seeing myself as behind the range of hands that want to call me.

edit: i see that someone donked turn. I thoguht we c-bet. Given his donk turn, check river... I like a bet much more because he's representing a much weaker range of marginal SD value hands.

Also... One thing to consider is that when so many players raise preflop its likely someone has AX hands. This slightly reduces the chances of being up against an overpair because we can discount the # of AA combos.
