Hi.

1.- I didn't cbet because I don't understand what to do when I get raised. What confuses me is that a player can ch/r obviusly the str8, but also something that beats the str8 like a set + FD, or semibluffing with top 2 pair + nut FD (a flip vs the str8 but could get a fold from a set in a later street).

Against this strong range my equity on the flop is 40%. So if I bet and get raised, what should I do? I guess I should play the hand thinking that the opponent has the str8 and only play by odds (this because there are a lot more combos of QJ than the other hands).

Well that was the first leak that I have in this type of hands, the second leak is my play on the river. Once I check behind the flop and I get agressive when there is pair on the board, my hand is face up. In this hand I actually shove, but... what hand is going to pay me?, if the opponent is terrible then may be he pays me with other than 99. So... call in case the opponent overplays something and fold if the opponent is a complete nit? or fold always?

thanks.

I like calling as well. Villain's range is a total bluff or quads. I am tempted to think TT would donk pot the river then fold to a raise possibly.

I really don't see how anything but quads calls if you shove.

Hi.

What about the flop play?

I have trouble with that... it´s easier when the flop is monotone and with top set you can get 2 streets of value; but in these str8 flops with FD, I'm always guessing about to cbet or not.

Thanks!

When they both check the flop, I have to expect that I have the best hand here. It's not really a flop where someone with a straight can check it and hope you bet, it's a pretty scary board.
