FH vs a raise on the river

Hi, In situations like this river, does it matter what kind of player is the opponent to take the decision of call or fold?

BB checks, Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($2.65) K♦ (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.39, BTN calls $1.39, BB folds

River: ($5.43) 2♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $2.85, BTN raises to $12.55, Hero ???

I think you have to cbet the flop. Double boarded flops are always good flops to cbet, furthermore with OP. In the river i would just call although you are loosing for only 1 hand!! How could a 2 activate this sleepy agression?

BTN has a shortstack I just can't find a way not to shove on him. He is repping quads pretty hard but how can you fold? It's just not possible to find a fold here at all since he started the hand with half a stack.
