Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.10(BB) Replayer
SB ($10.15)
BB ($24.63)
CO ($19.07)
Hero ($10.27)

Dealt to Hero J♦ K♣

fold, Hero raises to $0.30, fold, BB raises to $1, Hero calls $0.70

FLOP ($2.05) Q♦ J♣ 8♥

BB bets $0.97, Hero raises to $2.90, BB raises to $23.63 (AI), Hero folds

BB wins $7.46

The exact same thing happened a bit earlier against the same opponent. :f_o:

Is it stupid of me to call pre and reraise to try and steal the pot?
I just don't want to let the blinds think they can just always 3bet me too often when im BU.

Hello,

If the blinds are aggressive or even maniacs, then you have to steal with a tighter range and call 3-bets a bit loose, like you did here (which is fine, as you're IP and opponents 3-bet lightly (?)).

On flop I'd just call and reevaluate the turn. By raising we get most of the worse hands to fold and better hands to continue by calling or 3-betting. Especially if he's maniac, you could try to call down this hand :)

Hello ChewbroCColi,

Preflop: What's the reason for calling here?!

As played
Postflop: Why do you raise the flop? :O You are never making better hands to fold and just kick out all weaker holdings.

Best Regards.
