Stacks:
UTG ($13.91) 56bb
DrDunne (UTG+1) ($27.51) 110bb
CO ($23.83) 95bb
BTN ($11.71) 47bb
SB ($25.50) 102bb
BB ($23.84) 95bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.35, 6 players) DrDunne is UTG+1 A♣ A♦
1 fold, DrDunne raises to $0.75, CO calls $0.75, BTN calls $0.75, 1 fold, BB calls $0.50

Flop: 5♦ 8♥ 9♣ ($3.10, 4 players)
BB checks, DrDunne bets $2, CO calls $2, BTN goes all-in $10.96, BB folds, Hero???

Just want to double check my line was good here.

no info on anyone other than BU who has been playing with ~40bb and is on a million tables.

preflop kinda sucks when the world calls me...

flop i have no choice but to cbet and im happy to do so but i expect that my equity is low multiway, but i can be called by worse so bet is good.

when i get raised on this flop i hate life because it's dry and it's hard to flop sets/2pair. at the same time, it's multiway and i expect him to never be bluffing. i still have CO to act behind me who can have all sets in his range.

yeah he can have JT or TT but imo i'm screwed here no matter how narrow range he can have. what do you think?

Hi,

he shoves 4way i think thats pretty strong although hes short, probably 2p sets+ or at worst pair + draw like 56 78. if he had TT+ he would probably 3bet pre flop and i dont think hes jamming straight draws here.

fold on flop

Thanks

hmm.. i need like 33% equity here. if he has a range of simply 99,88,55 and TT then i get ~40%.with JTs in there then i get ~45% but i really find it hard to believe an MSS player will have TT or JTs here. i used to play MSS when i started out and although i didnt really know much back then and havent played it since, i dont think i would expect an MSS guy to have JTs here ever. even PPs are a stretch but given how there was already 1 cold call i think its definitely possible. i think with CO still here this is the main worry. i folded but i felt like i may have made a mistake..

Hi,

Adding my 2cents as well (as requested).

Lewis, your thought process looks good to me.

Let's look at both players:

BTN - shortie that calls after a potential fish (95 BB player) so his range is usually PPs that he doesn't 3-bet, connectors, and speculative hands in general.

CO - possibly a fish given the stack size.

Given that we cbet into 3 people our range looks stronger, usually at least a pair. When CO calls his range can still be wider because I'm assuming he's a fish.
Now when BTN shoves he may do it as a semibluff given all the money in the pot but can also have his good hands there. TT+ is most likely not there if he is a decent/aggro mid stack (since I'd expect him to squeeze wide preflop).

So all in all I think that there are potentially too many good hands between the guys to profitably stack off after just investing 2.75 into this pot.

Hey Everyone

First off I asked Bogdan to take a look as well.

What if it was HU? lets say CO folds to our cb and BU shoves? It's not going to be a massive +EV spot to call. But if we take the almost worst case scenario it's almost a BE call. If he does it with more overpairs, draws we even get more equity.

So do you still fold if CO folds to our cb?

Board: 5♦8♥9♣
       Equity     Win     Tie
MP2    35.17%  34.57%   0.60% { AdAc }
MP3    64.83%  64.22%   0.60% { TT-88, 55, 98s, 98o }

Thanks!

Ras

Hi,

there is a pretty big difference if CO does not call (and BB out of the hand is the best case).

in this case its possible that he shoves worse on us, possibly top pair for value, overcards as a random bluff, straight draws, pair+ draw and of course set, straight 2p+

the idea here is that the lesser the players in the pot the wider his range.

I'll call heads up they shove much worse.

Thanks

If it's just BTN I think we have an easy call despite the fact that we will rarely have a fish pump get it in scenario.
