Hi

As played, River is a really easy call IMO. Don't see how the 4 changes much besides improving 68. I think you are doing fairly well here and I do think he's probably capable of randomly donking stuff here.

Anyway I would prefer checking back on the Flop. AJ high has good showdown value vs a wide range (he probably defends 70-80% of hands from the blinds preflop) and he should be bluffing a fair bit so you have an easy call Turn decide River type of spot.
