Spoiler

$13.50 pot ($0.74 rake)

Hero mucked 9 K and lost (-$6.75 net)

160 hands vs xem. WTSD 19%. AF 1.3.
Xe was stealing 78% but xe was a fairly passive "abc" player that lacked knowledge in many fields.
Xyr flop cbet was 47% (decreasing until 0% on river), so generally I expect xem to have something when xe cbets, yet the 2 previous times in which I check/raised (with value!) xe folded.
With a gutshot+BDFD+overcards I therefore decided to bluff raise (is that ok?) and see what happens.
Xe calls, so I put xem minimum on a decent draw or 2nd pair+. Yet I get my TP and bet for value(/protection).
A not-so-blank river comes but given how tight xe was for showdowns so far I don't see xem calling with a worse hand, and a draw is now dead.
Xe didn't show any will to steal pots so far with busted draws or anything so I just decided to check/fold.
Too weak? Did I have a value bet on river? What calls me?

Hi AtrociousNightmare

Did you switch to HU mostly? I haven't seen you around here in a while.

Given the information you have going in I can't see many flushes in his range so we are really only afraid of some rare Kx, and slowplayed boats (maybe 56). So he should have pairs we can bet/fold vs on the river, like $5 or so.

Yeah I switched to HU only now.
I haven't been posting much here because I was revamping all my basics and learning new theory, so much that posting hands wasn't so helpful as I was changing game constantly [lack of time too].
If you have time you can check my blog (in my signature)

And about the hand, yeah I just looked at it now and I don't understand why I didn't bet/fold.
Thx!

That makes sense.

I would recommend investigating how the rake affects your overall winrate at the lower levels of HU. As far as I know it's not pretty, even on stars.

I think bet/folding is good
but what about this hand? The hero should call here? Personally I think that turn card is really good for us and river card is good either because now his 2 pair combos doesn't worth anything and I wouldn't expect villian calling XR flop, bet turn too much with 5x with such wtsd (fulls are very rear), so what hero should do?

Hero should bet the river as you said it and as I said it above :)

I mean should hero call in this spot, or it is check/fold?

If we were to look at the info we have, his bet size and how the board ran out I'd say it's a check fold. Only better hands valuebet and I can't see what he can bluff with.
