Just to explain - I don't really have any experience of SNGs but while getting a little impatient for a table that I wanted to sit at, I absentmindedly perused the tourney lobby and noticed this turbo SNG starting and thought for the price of $1.50, I might wile away the time and give it a go. Knowing fully well that I'd probably end up outside of my comfort zone but hey, rock n roll
And although this specific example then is not from a cash game, I hope it's ok me posting it here as I was interested in the dynamic. Or more to the point, the reaction from the BB. In all my time, I have never seen such a vitriolic reaction to my play from an opponent. The abuse in the chat box was incredible. He just would not let it go, calling me a "fucking donk idiot" and all the rest that you can guess
Now, I don't care at all about chat box abuse. In fact I always love it cos it means the guy is clearly not concentrating any more and is on tilt etc. So that doesn't bother me. But it did get me wondering if I had really played this as badly as he continued to insist. Was I the 'donk calling station moron' that he shouted I was....?

My reasoning was that pre flop, his 3 bet range would be very wide and that I should still maintain aggression post flop assuming that he might still just have high cards, flush draw etc.
His raise could mean he has a set etc but I didn't think that was reason enough to lay down my hand. Even the K OTR meant that I should just call down.
At least that's what I thought. Am I "fucking donk idiot" for thinking so?
Oh and if you'll forgive the slightly triumphant footnote, i did in fact end up winning the tourney. The BB's reaction was alas not recorded ♦
All the best,
