Villain is unknowns. His 3bet size is rather big ( as I seen from Zoom regfish and just fish that can be hands like JJ, AK, AQ which they don't want to play post-flop OOP as well pure value). I make standard call on CT w/QQ. On this flop he makes c/b which is easy call for me at this point. After bet on T river he still can have JJ, AKs, with flush draw ( and I am loosing only to KK and AA) so I decided to push as I don''t want to loose value form JJ, AKs, and if he has AA, KK I still need to make river call. Standard or can I make crying fold?

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU$31.15:///////;SB$19.74:///////;BB$26.47:///////;MP2$34.23:///////;MP3$25.06:///////;CO (Hero)$25.09:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q:c, Q:s.
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, BB raises to $3.00, Hero calls $2.25.

Flop: ($6.1) 7:h, 5:d, 5:c (2 players)
BB bets $4.08, Hero calls $4.08.

Turn: ($14.26) T:c (2 players)
BB bets $8.17, Hero raises to $18.01, BB calls $9.84.

River: ($50.28) 6:h (2 players)

Final Pot: $50.28.
Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, queens and fives(Q:c Q:s).
BB shows two pairs, aces and fives(A:h A:c).

BB wins with two pairs, aces and fives(A:h A:c).

Why its a standard call COvBB? The only reason for calling is his betsizing tell, but otherwise...

And your line is ... I don't understand. You think that you don't have the best hand preflop, but then suddenly on turn its the best hand?

With that bet sizing BF usually as I said before it can be JJ, AK, AQ as well QQ+. I f he has also hand like A4s, K5s etc. then I want to keep them in so QQ is easy (read standard) call. If I 4bet and he pushes I am in bad shape. The only question is about turn push.

Hi there flea1,

I think you are fundamentally wrong in your approach to call 3bets and 4bets. What you are saying is pretty much "villain has a bluff 3bet range, hence I call to keep that in his range". But by that argument you are never 4betting anything for value since villains pretty much always have a bluff range so you always find that reason to call the 3bet.

What you should do is take the line which has the highest EV for our hand. And specificaly with QQ I would say it's pretty much always best to 4bet/stack it off in these postitions. You have a clearly profitable all in spot (between the folds you get and the Equity you have versus a range that has JJ+/AK and the ocasional bluff) and QQ is not really a hand you want to be "slowplaying" since you let villain realize his equity with his bluffs, which most of the time have 30% equity. You should call the 3bet with hands which are marginal or not profitable to 4bet/stack off, like AQ or TT, since calling will probably have a highest EV than 4betting.

Stacking range BF AA,KK, AKo.
I am 4bet form CT vs BB 4,9% range (KK, AhAs, AhAc, AsAc, AJs-ATs, K9s-K8s, Q9s, AQo+, KQo) and calling 3,85% of hands (QQ-99, AdAh, AdAs, AdAc, AQs+, KQs, T9s, 98s, 87s).
Hmm, is there something wrong with that? (maby there is, that is why I am here in this forum :) )

I don't think you need AA combos in your 3bet calling range, but okay, not a big issue. Calling QQ is a big issue, you should 4bet for value. AQo is a call, even KQo is a call unless we know he is really nitty. 4betting AJs is not okay IMO, standard call. Don't know why you folding all KJ and continuing with K8s-K9s. I would 4bet/fold KJo (and ATo) and call the 3bet with KJs and ATs.

I don't see a big rationale to fold hands like QJs, KTs or JTs and call 87s-T9s.
