NL10 KK vs Villains set

Hi All,
Was disgusted to see villain flop a set on what I would consider
to be a fairly safe board for KK. On the turn I didn't put him on A3 to
make the straight. I knew he connected with the board but not that strong!
I put him on like A9s and thats why he continued....once I saw the flop
i got the gut wrenching feeling that you get once you see you walked into a set.

second buy in I lost back to back. Time to step away from the tables and post
my hands for some constructive criticism. Cheers guys and be brutal with your most honest opinions.

Hi again,

Preflop action is ok.
Flop could't has been drier for hands which could call your 3b preflop. Betting for value 50% of the pot of 16BB which would make your bet 8BB and him calling for 32BB total.
Turn: Brick from the range of hands which would call you PF to your 3b
V: check; you: Bet 16BB; villain raise to for example 35; you call.
Total pot: 102BB
River: calling probably or checking behind

Your oponent's stats even for 22 hands appears to me TAGish
Most of the time this kind of player wouldn't call you PF with hand like A3 or calling gutshot on flop and not even raising on turn with 3x hand.
What helps to me is most of the time overal agression factor even for small amount of hands. If he is not much agressive I would be more suspicious on turn raise.

I think it helps to know your opponent, and in this case we don't know much. We could probably assume he calls lots of pps preflop even versus 3b's because of his wide VPIP. In any case, a turn min raise looks really strong.

If he is very aggressive I would call the raise and x/c the river hoping to keep TT-QQ + random 9x bluffs in his range.

If he is quite passive folding is also ok I think.
