6-max S&G @ PKR. 3 players left, 2 players get money
This hand happened to me today. No info to show about the villain, because my HUD wasn't fuctioning during this S&G, but he played LAGgy and started hyper aggression after gaining the chip lead in a flip. Also to mention: Last round I managed to steal his BB from SB position with min raise. So maybe he was trying to counter-attack me this time. Any thoughts about this hand?

PKR, $12 Buy-in (400/800 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 3 Players

Hero (SB): 21,150 (26.4 bb)
BB: 29,800 (37.3 bb)
BTN: 9,050 (11.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A 8
BTN folds, Hero raises to 1,600, BB raises to 3,200, Hero calls 1,600

Flop: (6,400) 2 2 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets 6,400, Hero raises to 17,950 and is all-in, BB calls 11,550

Turn: (42,300) Q (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: (42,300) J (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: 42,300 pot
Final Board: 2 2 8 Q J
Hero showed A 8 and lost (-21,150 net)
BB showed 6 2 and won 42,300 (21,150 net)

It could definitely be the case, however pay attention to sizing? It can mean many things, a lot of non-sense hands, sometimes strong broadway, sometimes hands like 56s that he doesn't want to just call and play OOP, but he likes them too much to fold. I will exclude however small pair and mid pairs. He can also have AA/KK

Postflop however-once you ship over his cbet-you isolate yourself vs stronger range than yours most of the time. You are hoping he calls with a lower 8x. On the other hand, if he has AA/KK/QQ, why would he bet the flop so big? He wants value, he needs to protection, the board is dry. So what I am trying to tell you is that his range on the flop is narrowed towards bluffs and some Ax. You crush this. When we ship, we loose value against the bluffs. I don't think he has a very strong hand here, so I just flat this very dry board and go from there. Calling most turns also. Be careful however as risk aversion is quite high.

The fact he showed up with 62o is just ridiculous.

Good points about playing vs. bluff/Ax. I was putting him on 2big cards or pocket pairs, also lower pocket pairs than 8 because he bet pot. I though it might be better to shove for example if the Q or J had come to table later, would've been tough to play for me and easy double barrel for him. And u said that he might have 56s and not willing to play it OOP, but he had Position on me as I was on SB, right?

Just because we put him mostly on Ax, bluffs, I will just c/c flop-c/c any turn. Ax is good for us, chances he hits, say a hand like QJ on the turn is no more than 12%(he has 6 outs and 1 street to come). And that's if he has 2 overs. He can for sure has some random 45s shit and be drawing dead almost. Sry I misread our position, I thought we were on the BTN. Which makes me a bit less happy with flatting OOP, but I still think it's best to do so with our hand(what plays well postflop) given the risk aversion and the great odds we get.
