The villain is rather tight and extremely passive (for how tight he is). This was a key consideration in my decision making.
Preflop: Hero is SB with K
A![]()
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.20, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.18, BB folds
I cold-call because I expect to be often ahead, and I don't expect this villain to call my 3bet with worse.
Flop: ($0.45) 5
9
3

Hero checks, MP checks
Turn: ($0.45) A

Hero bets $0.30, MP calls $0.30
I bet for value against worse aces and K♥x / Q♥x
River: ($1.05) A

Hero bets $0.67, MP raises to $10.20 and is all-in, Hero folds
I bet for value again, thinking that an Ax, especially with a decent kicker (he is tight and opened from MP) will call one more bet. To which he shoves. What could he shove with? Seeing how it is a flush board, and how he is extremely passive, I somehow don't think he's shoving with Ax here, even AK, of which there are only 3 combos, and everything else has us beat (flushes, 55, 99, 33). It's weird why a set didn't cbet on a two-heart board, but seeing his low cbet value, maybe he just likes slowplaying. A flush draw could easily check back here.
Correct fold?
Thanks.
