Hello people, I had this hand in a live torny and wondered if it was the correct play vs this passive fish all thought he shoved all in on the flop with middle pair after calling a raise from BB with 82o about 10 hands earlier he called with any 2 from the blinds

Middle phase
UTG-36bb KJs
Sb-he had me covered 78o
Bb-40Bb

UTG raises action folds to Sb, Sb calls bb calls

Flop 8c-9c-Jd

Sb donk bets 1/2 pot, bb folds, I shove Sb calls

A bit hard to read it formatted like this. The raise pre probably wasn't very much since SB and BB called it? Not sure if i would have raised KJs. So did you hit a Flush draw on the flop? On the flop i see you would have been beaten by all pocket pairs JJ+, 99, 88 and also QT, T7, J9, J8, 98.

Since BB already folded and you describe SB as a fish - so pretty much all of the mentioned cards would be in his range i assume - what did you want to archieve with the shove?
I'd rather have called down to the turn and see if your hand improves. A true fish will be pot commited at the river anyways, so if you have the nuts or at least a pretty good hand then you can still shove. I don't see much good coming from that shove on the flop.
