Preflop decision with QQ

So the guy wasn't stealing a lot from the btn. 15/11/8,0, f3b 33%, steal 13% over 102 hands. I made standard 4bet and he shoves. It looks very bluffy. I think if he has premium hand he would flat IP or 4bet 2,5x. Should I gii with QQ? I would fold usually but since he is on the btn idk... IMO this is easy call, especially when villain is 70bb deep only.

IPoker, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $5.09 (101.8 bb)
Hero (BB): $6.29 (125.8 bb)
UTG: $5 (100 bb)
MP: $2.85 (57 bb)
CO: $1.41 (28.2 bb)
BTN: $3.60 (72 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q Q
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.12, SB folds, Hero raises to $0.48, BTN raises to $3.60 and is all-in, Hero ?

You are most likely up against AK from my sample size, and it makes some sort of sense (besides, the A comes on the river when you call them).

Why would AA/KK try to scare you off?

Call.

Yup, that guy had KK and hit a set otf. 2nd time today I see when people shoves pre or otf with monster hand. What is idea behind it? How those guys expect to get called by worse when whey shove? Rather choose slowplay (which is very bad, but 100x better option than shoving and don't get paid.)

I think that we can't realy turn QQ into a bluff there. If we decide to 3bet, then we have to call a shove, especially vs fish.

Do you normally make 4x 3 bets?

AK is not shoving vs big 3 bet.

Against this raise size I think we should make 3bet something arround 3,5x. Hero's bet size is a bit too big probably, but nothing wrong with it, I would say.

seems to have worked this time (apparently the big overbet doesn't have to work all that often, I read that somewhere)

This is also a fault of mine, the shorter they are the more likely I am to pay them off.
The cure might be to play short and just open shove and see how many calls you get

You make it 4x too, in a hand posted today. :)

15/11player is solid rock. Even for that sample size. I would not 3 bet my normal range vs him.

I make 4x oop against a minraise. Against 3 bb's, I make 3,3x. In position I make 3x against a minraise and 2,6x against 3 bb's.

I make 3x IP and 4x OOP. Is that bad? 3bet for 3.5x OOP is better?

What do you mean by "we can't really turn QQ into a bluff there"? I didn't turn it. Do you mean that 3bet is bad? I always 3bet JJ-AA from the blinds against BTN open and sometimes CO.

I ment that we can't 3bet QQ for value and then fold to 4bet.

And now you say it is ok to make it 3.5 . :)

Just call preflop vs rocky players.

His open size was 2,5bb's so I think that a 3,5x 3bet is the best. :)
