Value on River

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

BTN: $36.81
SB: $11.52
BB: $12.75
UTG: $10.15
MP: $10.00
Hero (CO): $18.13

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with 9  T
1 fold, MP raises to $0.25, Hero raises to $0.70, 3 folds, MP calls $0.45

Flop: ($1.55) 5 :diamond: 4  3  (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $0.70, MP calls $0.70

Turn: ($2.95) K :spade: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $1.30, MP calls $1.30

River: ($5.55) 6  (2 players)
MP bets $2.30, Hero calls $2.30

The question is: do we have a value raise on the river after he donks a flush card or its just a call as i cant beat flushes he might donk with!?

The question is: Why do we 3bet pre?

I believe this is just a call otr.

4 combos of AK
5 combos of Flush
8 combos of 66, 22, 77
17 combos can donk river.

only 5 combos beat us out of 17
70% ahead and we need at least 50% equity for it to be a value bet

hope i made correct assumptions ,but it seems like a ship

Pre: just call, it's standart call vs 3bb open and vs 2,5bb it's even better call.

Flop: I would be betting bigger around 1-1,05$.

Turn: Again bet bigger around 1,65$

River: I would just call if MP is a reg, he will call your shove with mostly stronger hands AhKh/AhQh/AhJh/KhQh/JhTh and maybe 77 if he has them, if he is fishy then shoving is fine.

well, i preffer to 3bet from CO with SC than flat and likely get squeezed by BU ;)

makes sense, but cant we make an educated guess that his river donk range will be tighter than TPTK on draw heavy board + its nl10 + zoom which is tighter in general? and that would mean we probably have closer to 50% equity, so likely just a call?

Our hand is a standard call pre.
AK will not donk on that board with flush and straight possible.
22 , 66 , 77 are debatable.

AK could donk this river, for the simple fact that we will check back all the hands that he beat's, and we only bet when we beat him, where as if he donk bet/folds the river, he gains value from worse hands. also i can see a ton of hands to gain value from lots of small flush's some straights and AK id shove here for certain

But without proper information its hard to put him on a range.

If the player is folding a lot to 3bets there is nothing wrong with 3betting preflop, but if he is folding a lot to 3bets then your cbet on the flop is bad. If he doesn't fold to a lot of 3bets then a call is better, unless your much more skilled then him in 3bet pots, then i don't mind a 3bet again

What worse hands will call your AK donk on river on that board. Even fish will acknowledge this fact.

1. I just basically told the same things than nitrol in my first post but no one thanks me or calls me sir :f_rolleyes:
2. I don't like 3betting. If we always 3bet low suited connectors when IP our 3bet % will go up, we get exploited and almost everytime villain calls we are dominated. This hand is good for calling and is usually a call by default as said before.
3. AK will donk here only if villain is blind or retarded. Sets are a bit debatable as nitrol said because there is 4 card straight and a possible flush.

I didn't notice the 4 card straight, in that case then the donk looks like a straight,

You could 3bet this if you think BTN (or SB/BB) will squeeze a lot if we just call. And yes, just a call on the river

I have started to play a bit tighter (and found it profitable). I don't have CO vs MP 3bet bluff range. I have 3bet bluff range only in blind battles. It's something like QQ+,AQ,AK, lower AXo and KXo. Or something like that .. I would fold this hand CO vs MP but I think this is a good hand to call also. It's not value hand but it's not a bluff either.

I also prefer calling pre. I'm 3betting 67s for example. I think in most cases villain is x/r FD + over cards on the flop. On the river it looks to me like some block bet, like A♥:K or 77 (if he calls hem pre). Maybe push to level him to hero call with A♥:K.
Reg should be capable of turning A♥: into bluff.

He is not opening 3x standard from MP, so we may assume that he is not a reg. Vuciitis did not post any stats here.
In case he is a passive guy, not so good player, he could play OP (JJ+) (especialy that hero bets under the 1/2 a pot ott) this way. As Vaskata says it looks like smknd of blocking bet otr, and i am calling it for sure, but not sure if i am pushing it with T9s vs basicly unknown. T9hh would call pre rather than 3bet.
