I missed the stack sizes here and on with position your playing, but looks like your invested already more than half your starting stack on the flop. I would bet max 225 chips with 705 chips left. Then you can still shove most turn cards with less invested.

Cheers,
SDK1987

Think you played it fine. Considering your stack size, I would have made flop bet a bit smaller, but at micros I would expect this to be a winning play - and you get it in being a 70:30 favourite :f_thumbsup:

Wanted to give him bad pot odds, Hero (BU), Villain (BB), presuming that even if he had flush draw his range won't include such low cards. I think his call wasn't decent, but my shove was not good as well. We had 550 chips each, 3 players left.

I would just have shoved pre with less than 10 BB... as played I think the shove is fine, but the call is ok too, considering he have 19 outs twice (if all his outs is live)

By call, I mean 23s Preflop call, his 19 outs call was fine no doubt)
Ye, I should have shoved pre I think

A shove with A8o would be better indeed with a (180+375) 555 stack in 30/60 or 40/80 blind level.

My analysis

As to the first hand, I think I should have shoved with A9+, so A7 was not good enough against A8 in the present circumstances, since knew I would shove here with a quite wide range (like 12%) that is why he would call most of times here with A5-A8.

In second hand, I think I made a decent fold here on the turn given he might have had TQ,A9 or 99-88. Unfortunately he had enough stupidity to make fold, see his crappy cards and put a «fish» mark on his icon.

I think it is pretty clear that in the third hand situation, I should have gone all-in only with AQ+, 66+( probably KQ?).
Sometimes you just have to post such hands to make people lol at you)))

At last, concerning the fourth hand, I think it is the most difficult hand in the row. I suppose I should have checked behind on the river because I have shown weakness on the turn as far as I folded the range of pocket pairs by checking behind instead of striking a second barrel. Anyway, even if I had a pocket pair and go all-in on the turn or river, his call would have been OK according to the ICM. I could not represent quads of sevens as well, since it was very unlikely that I had a seven after I raised from MP pre-flop.

1st hand I think is close between shoving and folding. If villian have been very active, and if you have seen him fold to 3bets, I guess we can go with A7o. Problem is that I dont believe we will have too much fold equity. Villian got 17 BBs, and pre he shouldnt really go with many hands that he fold against a 11 BB shove (he have to call 527 to win 857).
Think the shove is ok tho, if you have a good feeling about the villian. If he can have A8, he will also have many combos that we are 60% against.

2nd hand I would make bigger pre. 78 more is pretty much a clickback, and villian wont be doing many misstakes against this move. Flop is fine - maybe a bit smaller, but when villian calls with worse hand I guess its fine. Turn I think we can check/call once, and see a river. As played when we get reraised, folding is okay.

3rd hand I dont see whats wrong? We have 8 BBs, and will be in the blinds soon. AJ not a monster in early pos, but shoving for 8 BBs I think is totally fine. Sometimes we will be called by better hands (ofcause)

4th hand we could fold pre. Cbet I would have made smaller. If he folds, he will fold to smaller sizing too. On the river, I think we should ask ourselves why we would bet? At this point will villian fold better hands than ours to a 480 bet? Villian will never fold pairs and I think Ax will call too. Worse hands than that, we will win anyway with King kicker

Malendes, thank you for taking your time!

Indeed, in the 1st hand situation, villain doesn't have much fold equity. He was quite aggressive if I am not mistaken. I will soon get some statistic program to make it clear next time)

2nd hand turn check sounds better than betting, but I thought that my pot odds will not be that good on the river if I check call on the turn

3. I think you may be right since we discount A and J from the deck so there is not much chance that someone will have better A or JJ. We are only afraid of QQ, KK here, but it is rarely the case that someone has them. Probably, I was unlucky

4. "At this point will villian fold better hands than ours to a 480 bet? Villian will never fold pairs and I think Ax will call too. Worse hands than that, we will win anyway with King kicker" true

It would be better if you post 1 hand per thread.
Then it’s easier to have a good discussion, but overall it looks fine the feedback that Malendes gave to you.

Cheers,

SDK1987, okey. Is it fine if I post many hands separately? Just didn't want to flood the forum! Is there any limit for hands to be posted by one person?

There is no limit of hands you can post on the forum.
