Hi,

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $9 (180 bb)
BB: $5 (100 bb)
UTG: $4.56 (91.2 bb)
Hero (MP): $5.62 (112.4 bb)
CO: $5.25 (105 bb)
BTN: $12.75 (255 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K♣ A♣
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.15, CO calls $0.15, BTN raises to $0.67, 2 folds, Hero ?

Preflop - I often find myself in situations like the one above where I'm not sure what to do. Either to fold or call might possibly be a mistake, and raising might be the best option but it would implicate to put a lot of chips in the center.

Which option do you think it is best?

Thank you

AKs is a strong enough hand to defend.
What other hands will you defend here?

I would call QQ, and either re-raise or fold the remaining hands

Well, if you do this with QQ, you can do it with AKs too.
And why just call?

Macqas, dont be afraid to put chips in the center.
AK is a good hand to do that, go for it!
Cheers

You are up against a button squeeze play. I can guarantee you that you beat a huge part of his range. The downside is your position. Whether to call or raise is up to you and what you are comfortable with. In fact, I am almost sure that an AI reraise would be profitable (not optimal though). Then fold can't be right.

You can call, raise, shove.. All of them should be good.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I like the idea to re-raise AI ourselves, especially because we are oop as many of you mentioned.
