Hi all,

Last night i had 3 hands witch i'm not sure about.
I think i played this hand very bad preflop. Because i need te make the 3 bet preflop. With the AJ.
But UTG was still raising with :censored:. And just get lucky.

Let me know what you think about it.

MP: $2.10
CO: $4.05
BTN: $2.37
SB: $2.00
Hero (BB): $2.00
UTG: $2.12

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with A :club: J :diamond:
UTG raises to $0.06, 4 folds, Hero calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.13) J :club: 5 :club: 3 :diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.13, Hero raises to $0.26, UTG calls $0.13

Turn: ($0.65) 8 :diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.47, UTG calls $0.47

River: ($1.59) 5 :spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $1.33 all in, Hero calls $1.21 all in

Final Pot: $4.01
Hero shows A :club: J :diamond: (two pair, Jacks and Fives)
UTG shows 8  5  (a full house, Fives full of Eights)
UTG wins $3.87
(Rake: $0.14)

UTG opening range is usually very tight so we shouldn't call AJo here. If you want to play this hand you should bluff 3bet him. Since we are out of position it would be standard for me to just fold. I 3bet bluff this hand if I'm in position.

OTF I would just check call, I see no reason to raise here. We should be check raising with nuts and some semibluffs but this hand is a check call for me.
As played I see no reason to call his river shove. Villain reps quite strong hands when he calls your xr OTF and your bet OTT. You are mostly losing to his range or then splitting the pot.

3b or fold with this hand preflop.
I do not like your min raise. Remeber: you do not achieve anything with this size.
I would xc flop.
River is a fold, as played.

We should 3bet this hand pre. Why are you raising here? I think this is inflating the pot unnecessary...
As played, after all the action, we fold the river.

@Pannekoekk86, I have a comment that might piss you off. This is not the intention. Here it is: His strategy might actually be the very best strategy against you.

Fish play suboptimal poker. But don't confuse that with them really, really hating money. Also, don't think they can't possibly hit the board because they are bad.

I think calling preflop is fine, but the hand is overplayed postflop. I would just check/call flop. Standard play would be check/call twice with TP and usually check/fold river unimproved.
