Hi guys!

I reached the FT in the 0.50$ 45 man and pick up AJo the first hand being in 3rd pos, and folded to me I decided to push with 15 BB, and the only bigger stacks calls. Is this a fold preflop or raise or shove?

I would only raise preflop. You have to think to the fact that you are not ITM.
You have the 3th biggest stack you have no reason to rush things.

I would shove here too.

The hand is way too strong to think about openfolding in my opinion.
With 5 out of 6 players behind you with a stack aroundish 10 BBs, you basically is shoving for 10 BBs effectively (AJo is fine to shove with 10 BBs).
Eventhough AJo is a good hand, it really isn't a hand that I want to induce with in a situation like this, so what are we accomplishing with openraise to example 2 BBs? Do we want to let 5 easy shoving stacks to come over the top and shove? And what do we do if we see a shove? Personally I hate raise/folding here, so shoving is fine I would say :f_thumbsup:

Don’t forget that ICM in a 45 man is very nasty at the final table. Especially with players that have no clue about this. Here you can see the Nash ranges and I’m pretty sure that all players behind you will call wider than they should. That makes it tricky to shove a hand like AJo here and I wouldn’t mind to min raise/call the short stacks (<10BB) and min raise/fold against the big stacks. Off course in most circumstances AJo is a +ev push as well, but it will be close.

Cheers,
