Villain is unknown and I am not using any stats so one has to assume that he is an average donkey opponent as they are typical for this buyin-level.
The preflop raise with QTo from MP is probably not mandatory but I give myself a sufficient postflop edge against the donkeys to open such a hand from MP in the early phase.
As played, betting flop and turn should be standard, there are flushdraws and straightdraws possible the opponent could have called the flop with and against which I have to protect my hand and extract value.
The river is a complete blank and the donkey immediately leads out for a big pot-sized bet. In this situation I had the strong feeling that he was trying to steal the pot after his flush/and or straight draw had busted.
Of course the default answer concerning this play is that it strongly depends on the opponent if the river call is good or desastrous. Here lies the problem: As pointed out above I did not have any reads or stats on that particular opponent. So my question is: Would you always fold here against an unknown opponent on this buyin-level or do you think calling is an option?
The more I think about this hand the more I am beginning to fear that I could have played it like a donkey myself.
