MP: 112.68 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)
CO: 100 BB (VPIP: 16.99, PFR: 12.62, 3Bet Preflop: 4.88, Hands: 421)
BTN: 242.9 BB (VPIP: 22.35, PFR: 15.29, 3Bet Preflop: 3.81, Hands: 263)
SB: 139.18 BB (VPIP: 21.82, PFR: 16.97, 3Bet Preflop: 3.57, Hands: 169)
BB: 101 BB (VPIP: 28.57, PFR: 23.08, 3Bet Preflop: 15.63, Hands: 94)
Hero (UTG): 124.62 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 5♣ A♣

Hero raises to 2.24 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, BB calls 1.24 BB

Flop: (4.98 BB, 2 players) A♠ J♦ K♦
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (4.98 BB, 2 players) 8♠
BB bets 3.72 BB, Hero calls 3.72 BB

River: (12.42 BB, 2 players) 5♠
BB checks, Hero bets 6 BB, BB calls 6 BB

Villain is a reg.

Can this possibly just a fold on the turn? Literally, we are only beating a bluff and there are tons of combos that Villain can have that beat us. Even vs. flushdraws we are drawing very thin... hm...

I think you should cbet OTF since you are IP. Your hand might very well be the best and you get value from Kx,Jx, pockets, draws and you don't want to give free cards.
Checking behind flop and then folding vs turn stab with top pair seems very very weak to me.
