UTG checks, Hero bets 6 BB, UTG calls 6 BB

UTG checks, Barrel or not... here I come, you can't hide

So... to barrel or not to barrel that's the question...

I would usually continue barreling with a draw when I improve my equity. The fact that you hold Ad might change that a bit. Now villain can't have the nuts here so vs some guys you can take more aggressive lines if you think they are not calling that much.

I think this is generally a pretty good barrel spot. There's also a decent argument for checking too. This guy looks fairly fishy given his l/c PF and his stack size, so your overall FE is probably going to go down a little bit due to him having more Kx or random stuff like 89 with the 9 of diamonds or something like that (which he isn't folding). Vs. a regular, I think I would continue to bet (and would usually take a bet flop/bet turn/check river with most medium value hands like KQ or whatever).

There are good words for barreling:
1. When another flush card hits the board, you may not be able to extract more value, as the flush is more obvious.
2. Villain limp/called preflop, so he can have a wide range and can be happy to call you once more.

The arguements against are:
1. If you get raised, what are you gonna do?
2. If you bet turn and miss the river, what are you gonna do?
3. You may already be facing the flush...

I think all that he called the flop, will also call the turn. I would take the free card. Also if you check behind he might bet the river when the flush hits.

I will always bet here on the turn with that draw.
