The line you took is obviously -EV, you fold otf although there is only one overcard, so basically you are setmining here without sufficient implied odds...

I find his big raisesizing quite strange... Was he 4x-ing the whole time or was his normal preflop raise-size smaller (if so --> easy fold imho)... If he was 4x-ing all the time you are obviously way ahead of his range so I think I would 3-bet to ~1000 preflop expecting him to fold most of the time... shoving would certainly be +EV too but the stacksizes are indeed a bit awkward and ICM is a little nasty with one shorter stack behind...

As played, you have the best hand here on the flop most of the time and should certainly call and then evaluate turn... If he fires another bullet ott you will have to fold and write nh Sir but normally he should slow down if he doesn't hold a king...

It’s tricky he’s raising that big, because it’s for him a good spot to steal a lot with almost every hand as big stack. I would most likely even make a bigger 3bet out of position to like 1,2k, but if he called a lot of 3bets I wouldn’t mind the call. Then you need to call at least 1 street on a board like this.

Really dislike a 3bet here, or we should have a very solid read to prove otherwise. Mostly because of awkward stacksizes. We are folding out all of his trash and will have a shitty spot when he flats or ships. Besides, it sucks playing a big pot against the chipleader on the bubble.

Would love to know if we have a read on his ~4x raise. Also we don't really have the odds to setmine here. So I think I'm (reluctantly) (nit) folding this readless.

If this is a bubble spot I agree with Okkernootje, I thought this was a 9man SnG and we were already ITM...

This is a 9man sng, 3.50$ on pokerstars. I did not have info about him 4x betting before, but seeing his stats I dont see him ever checking the turn, so I can be pretty sure he will bet any card. So I think I either have to make my play preflop or on the flop

Meh, still not the best spot. Don't like a call (don't have the odds, hate to play this hand oop), don't like a 3bet after his 4x raise. I'm still folding.

As played you have to call at least 1 street with second pair and backdoor possibilities.
