PokerStars 8500+1500 - NLHE Tournament (STT, 9-man, Regular) - 100/200 Blinds - 2 players

Hero (SB): t3010, 15 BBs (329) VP:43 PFR:37 AF:5.2 3B:17 AS:54 FS:73 CB:51 FC:0 WS:32 W$:71
BB: t5990, 30 BBs (32) VP:68 PFR:12 AF:6.0 3B:6 AS:16 FS:50 CB:0 FC:0 WS:50 W$:50

Preflop: (t300) Hero is SB with Q :club: Q :spade:
Hero raises to t400, BB calls t200

Flop: (t800) 7  5  K :diamond: (2 players)
BB bets t200, Hero ???

What to do here? Sure he may have the K but he has also a big AF.
Should i just take the risk and shove based on his aggression post-flop and the relatively low SPR?
Can't just call as my stack is small and the turn may be ugly as well (ace, heart).
I could as well shoved preflop for all these reasons but i still like to charge a higher value for my premium.

His min donk screams 7x or a draw. You can raise smaller and then shove on safe turns. Why not shove flop? You are IP and you can find folds or take cheap/free cards. Also maybe he would fold with lower pairs against a flop shove but call a smaller raise.

Small raise and wait for the turn

We are dealing with a fish and I wouldn’t give him credit for top pair alone when he’s min betting this flop. I think raising to like 800 for thin value and protection is fine and if he shoves you can still fold.

Thanx for the answer.
Do you think 800 (30% of our stack) is necessary to make him fold or plan a (safe) turn shove if he calls?
Can we raise a tad smaller say 600 or a bigger raise is necessary?

A raise of 600 is fine as well I think, but smaller than that I wouldn’t do in a spot like this.
If the turn is safe you can indeed consider shoving the turn.
