BB bets 11.6 BB, Hero calls 11.6 BB

River: (38.7 BB, 2 players) J♥
BB bets 55.4 BB and is all-in, fold,

The player is super aggressive as you can suspect from the stats. I am not sure how to deal with those type of players in such situation where I have good equity against opponent range. The trouble is that even if you know that the opponent is aggro you can't go crazy against him, unless you have some reads - see his holdings at showdown.

The main difficulty was his big lead OTT, do I call? - do I raise and go all in? And on the river the decision is even more difficult when faced overshove.

Maybe raise bigger preflop. But everything seems fine. You have 6 hands on this guy. Dont overadjust =)

agressive: yes, probably
super agressive: we really can't know yet from a 6handed sample.

It is a really strange line from villain indeed. I'd expect him to check raise a lot of his value combinations on this board.
So I actually like the line you took, because this board smashes villains calling range pretty hard. OTT you are still drawing to the nuts combined with top pair good (probably best) kicker, so a call is mandatory imo. River is a fold readless, since I can hardly think of any hand that would take this line that we would beat...

Your line seems fine here. No need to raise bigger from the CO and you need to win this hand more than 37% of the time on the river to make a call profitable. Only with good reads on him you could call this I think, but now it’s an easy fold.

Cheers,
