AQo Squeeze in BB

Zoom - No reads on BTN or SB. This is a relatively common spot (moreso 3betting in blinds vs steal, not necessarily squeezing) where I'm not sure how to proceed when I 3bet with AT+ and miss.

- Standard squeeze or should I just flat to keep hands I dominate in?

- What if SB folds to BTN open - 3bet or flat?

- How do I proceed on such dry flops as aggressor? My logic for betting was I can get him to fold 66-QQ and AT+ a lot of the time and take the pot there whilst I have initiative. Only hands he really continues with is Kx (KJ+, AK?), so we get him to fold a lot, and when he calls we just give up there. Is this a reasonable thought process or are we just better x/f on the flop? Seems weak but would make sense.

Thanks

My 2 cents:
1. Don't make it a habbit to cbet and done. The famous one-and-done.
2. Establish a checking range to x/c or x/r.
3. Against habitual flop bettors vs missed cbet, x/r jam AQo all-in.
4. Sometimes check AK.

Standard squeeze. If SB folds, standard 3bet.
OTF I don't like to cbet out of position with just A high. OOP you should cut down the amount of cbets and make your xc range stronger. You are also badly underestimating villains calling range vs your cbet.

Only hands he really continues with is Kx (KJ+, AK?)

That might be true at NL2, but this is NL25. Many of the players there already realize that they can't just fold without a top pair and let you cbet 100% range profitably.

We have just a weak backdoor gutshot + an overcard + not alot of fold equity on that flop, so I think check/fold right on the flop would be fine. I don't like to check/call here because we have a weak bluffcatcher with poor potential of continuing OTT.

What Snowie suggests on the river is really interesting (when you bet 33% on the flop)
bets 25% on most river cards when you barrel a T on the etc. on the turn
I've been looking at these for a while still didn't find a way to implement them (a few top guys do these pretty often in many similar spots)

As for flop it's whatever
I persononally just cbet 33% and barrel any JTA check a Q if it goes check check consider betting those on the river

And just bet bet give up at 25 vs unknown after betting J/T turns
And river becomes interesting vs someone strong after you barrel J,T
to be frank I wouldn't play it anywhere near optimal, this isn't an easy spot with the preflop action after you barrel twice

And yeah a heavy checking strategy does sound decent here with a bunch of mixed combos between small cr and cc
I would disagree with check raising all in with AQ though against anyone, just check a lot to cr small
Seems unnecessary at this stake though to go check heavy, people don't play well vs cbets really

That's a nice tip. Thanks! I'll try to include it in my game.

Now, when I think about it, when I x/r small, even 2x - my range doesn't look less strong than x/r All-in.

Also, I notice that we make a great leverage with our stacks, if villain decides to Jam f.e. If villain starts raising my minraise too often, then I can switch to x/f all my air and x/minraising all valuehands.

If I get called, i can give up.

I wonder how high would my raise success would be and if I can x/r as a default play with 2 overcards on dry low flops.

Don't take it as a blanket statement - it's unique to this spot as it was squeezed to a healthy side and button range should be tighter with SB still behind .

The heavy check strategy gets better because of that and you can mix in stronger hands even AK but it does get complicated you play mixed strategy and need to think in range /further down the decision tree than just flop as a small cr will get floated a good amount

That's why I think a cbetting heavy strat is just so much easier to execute without losing much ev
