Game dynamics (and how bad is my play or is there something to say to it?)

Hi all. I moved up here to 10NL cuz I run so bad at 5NL at the moment :) (my bankroll is 40 buy-ins for 10NL by the way so guys, no worries)

Anyways. I sit down the table .. all unknown and get AJ in the SB.

UTG: 98.5 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 4)
CO: 100 BB (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 16.67, 3Bet Preflop: 50.00, Hands: 6)
BTN: 217.5 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 5) !! Its inportant that my opp has a big stack, a possible read that he's a decent player !!
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 108.5 BB (VPIP: 25.24, PFR: 20.22, 3Bet Preflop: 6.79, Hands: 774)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♠ A♥

fold, fold, BTN raises to 2.5 BB, Hero raises to 10 BB, fold, BTN raises to 23 BB, Hero calls 13 BB
So here I am, just new at the table. Good hand against a possible steal from a player with a BIG stack and BAM I get a 4 bet.
At that moment I thought this can mean two things. He plays is 4 bet range or he plays me and wants to make a statement against this new guy on his left.
I suspect it is the last so I call with intentions to bluff when there is an opportunity.

Flop: (47 BB, 2 players) Q♦ 2♠ 6♥
Hero checks, BTN bets 15 BB, Hero raises to 40 BB
I never ever would lead here so I check and when he does not jam I think I can test the water.
My bet size gives the impression I'll never go anywhere but of course would have snap folded to a jam.

My thoughts only AA KK QQ AQ have an easy call (and I block some of the AA AQ hands I assume Q2 and Q6 and 62 is not there and its unlikely 66 or 22 is there) .

Questions I have:
a) Would you have 4 betted with KQ as villain and if so, would you have called my 40BB bet with that hand?
b) Is my thought about dynamics a good thought at 10NL? I mean, would you 4 bet a new players re-steal light (I definitely do this at 2NL and I do it fast, I mean the first time I get 3 betted, to shut down the bullies).

Spoiler

, fold
Hoppa :f_drink:

Hero wins 73.5 BB
Rake paid 3.5 BB

Fold preflop.
You are with unk in this spot. Callin 4-bet with AJo, especially OOP, having no info about the opponent is a terrible line.

I agree that calling with AJo pre OOP might not be the best move. Villain having a big stack doesn't tell us anything, fish can get lucky and stack someone also.

He plays is 4 bet range or he plays me and wants to make a statement against this new guy on his left. I suspect it is the last so I call with intentions to bluff when there is an opportunity.

Population tendency at the micros is still to 4bet very very value heavy. Thinking about making a statement vs a new guy is probably not how NL10 players think, and it wouldn't make much sense either. You have no reason to think that he wants to make a statement with a weak hand but you still say you believe he does. So you are using some kind of weird logic to justify wild plays that might not make sense.

So to answer your questions
a) no I would not 4bet KQ as villain and no I would not call your 40bb raise.
b) You don't have any dynamics here. You just get yourself into trouble. Can't justify bad plays because you are new at the table and want to show fish not to bully you.
