SB: $5.36 (107.2 bb)
Hero (BB): $5.78 (115.6 bb)
UTG: $7.43 (148.6 bb)
MP: $11.45 (229 bb)
CO: $5.20 (104 bb)
BTN: $10.35 (207 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K♣: K♥:
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.15, SB folds, Hero raises to $0.50, BTN calls $0.35

Flop: ($1.02) 9♣: A♠: 4♣: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($1.02) K♦: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.50, Hero raises to $1.60, BTN folds

I am not afraid of his FD, he would bet flop with A high.
I check to let him bluf or take "value" of Ax hands. If he check back with e.x. A5s, it is not good, but other play I wouldn't get more value than only one street. So it is doesn't matter.
If I do c/r, He can't call with anything.

So I am thinking, as right play, to check/call T and R go little donk bet like 1/3 - 1/4 to get max value (he would call with AJ, with that he would fold vs c/r turn) - it is look like protection. (If he re-raise on R I call him).

Results:

Spoiler

$2.02 pot ($0.08 rake)
Final Board: 9♣: A♠: 4♣: K♦:
Hero mucked K♣: K♥: and won $1.94 ($0.94 net)
BTN mucked and lost (-$1 net)

Yeah, this way you are making him fold his weaker aces because this play sure looks like a monster.
I would go as you suggested, call turn, donk river so he can pay you out even with someting like AJ, AT.

You either delay cbet this turn or check call it. By check raising you make him probably fold a weaker Ax and those are the type of hands that you seek value from.

He obviously doesnt have a flush drow or a strong ace as he doesn't bet this flop. So, i think i would delay cbet turn 1/2 and 1/2 any river card.
