Yup, this is the reason that the Martingale strategy for Blackjack won't work.
Not only is it possible to lose 7 times in a row, it happens far more frequently than one might think

Most people, if not all, thoroughly misunderstand the term "long-term". For them, it's about a few weeks of play.
I consider my lifetime the long-term.
At this moment I just want to cry, this game can be so brutal
