Rival is a solid reg who is running hot.

I think maybe if he had AK or QQ he would just call the 4th bet because we both were deep.

So I only saw AA and KK played by him this way.

What do you think about the hand?

P.S. If this an easy call if we were only at 100 BB stacks?

easy call at 100BB i think you stack off.

against a good reg as you said, you don't stack off 250bb deep. especially not to a 5 bet shove. Your hope calling the 5 bet is that he has Ak as well. I would assume he is only all in with AA,KK,QQ, AK, 12 combos of AA,KK,QQ and 9 of AK, taking out your blockers of course.. I think good fold

keep grinding

Though using AKs as 4bet-fold seems kind of bad. Would not mind to just flat versus 3bet and keep his range wider.

Can you elaborate a little bit more on why AKs is not a good 4 bet here ghaleon?

@ghaleon, are you flat calling cause OOP?

If it is a good reg, he could be 4 betting with A3-a5 suited maybe AQoffsuit, or I would be lead to believe that doesn’t happen much at these takes, as well as 3 betting preflop in this pool:

Well I am not holdem cash player so usually not playing holdem deep stacked. So maybe its standard to 4bet and fold to 5bet. Being suited though I would not mind to see flop always and use AKo as 4bet-fold. Now of course if we assume decently wide calling from villain versus 4bet and 5betting only KK+ then its fine. If we get huge amount of fe with 4bet and people rarely call then I would like just call to 3bet with suited version.

Though in villain shoes I might not have any 5bet range in first place. But as said not used to deep stacks in holdem :)
