2. After this flop, I thought my pair was likely the best hand, but very vulnerable, and I wanted to protect it as best I could. Betting out mightn’t have done that, as they could all call behind, but the C/R seemed the right choice. The turn card was perfect for my purpose, being high and a third flush card, provided UTG didn’t connect with it, and he didn’t.
